SVC provides free support services to individuals who have experienced sexual violence.

SVC serves victim/survivors of sexual violence and has worked to prevent sexual violence for more than 30 years.

✨ What is a boundary?
A boundary is a clear limit you set to protect your well-being, time, space, or energy. It helps others understand what you need and what behavior is acceptable.

✨ Understand the 7 types of boundaries you might need:
• Physical — personal space & touch
• Emotional — feelings & emotional energy
• Time — how you spend your time
• Intellectual — ideas & beliefs
• Material — possessions & finances
• Sexual — consent & preferences
• Digital — online presence & privacy

✨ Identify your need — “I need time to rest after work.”
✨ Make a request — “Please don’t call me after 8 PM.”
✨ Set your boundary — “I won’t answer calls after 8 PM.”

👉 Remember: A boundary is different than a request - it is something you have control over.

You can’t control someone else’s actions, but you can choose what you will do to protect your well-being.

Setting boundaries is an act of self-respect!

Boundaries honor your needs and help build healthier relationships. You deserve to be respected and supported. 💛
