🎉 What a Homecoming Week! 🎉

As our celebration comes to a close, we want to thank everyone who joined us for a week filled with laughter, music, stories, and community.

We ended on a high note with our annual Homecoming parade, a community meal, and the crowning of our Homecoming King and Queen — Tom and Gerry 👑❤️👑.

Thank you to our residents, staff, families, and friends for making this week so special. You are the heart of The Pillars, and together through time we made memories we’ll never forget. 💛✨

🤠🌵 Riding Together Through the Wild West! 🌵🤠

Howdy, partners! Today at The Pillars of Prospect Park we saddled up for a rootin’-tootin’ good time. From a morning petting zoo and cowboy-style fitness to a history presentation on Jesse James, it was a day full of Western spirit, laughter, and connection. Residents even wrangled in some yard games with the kids and line dancing to keep the fun rolling. Special live music from The Working Stiffs, a Western photo booth, and plenty of space to kick up their heels. The night was full of fun, a whiskey bar and good friends!

🚀✨ Dreaming the Future Together! ✨🚀

Today we blasted off into a galaxy of fun, imagination, and inspiration here at The Pillars of Prospect Park! From a galaxy parade and science talks to Star Wars on the big screen, the day was filled with space adventures, big ideas, and plenty of sparkle. 🌌💫

We even journeyed to the Weisman Art Museum to imagine the future of cities and skylines — inspiring us all to look ahead together.

A special thanks to our residents for treating the staff to Dippin’ Dots ice cream — the sweetest space-age surprise! 🍨✨

✨🕺 Day 2: Boogie Back to the Disco Decade!

The 70’s came alive today with tie-dye, bell bottoms, peace signs, and plenty of disco fever. From morning meditation to groovy fitness classes and colorful tie-dye creations, every corner of our community was glowing with sparkle and smiles. 🌈✌️

Tonight ended with one of our favorites - Disco Bingo — an annual tradition filled with laughter, music, and prizes thanks to our friends at UMAA!

Day 2 reminded us that no matter the decade, joy and community never go out of style. ❤️

Our 6th Annual Homecoming is Underway!

Today we launched Homecoming Week: Together Through Time with a full day celebrating all things Minnesota — the history, the laughter, the sports, the stories, and of course…the food that connects us all. 💜💛❤️

From mural tours and Minnesota trivia to music, stories, and even a Paul Bunyan & Babe pep rally, our community came together with spirit and joy. 🪓🐂

This is only Day One — and with 10,000 reasons to love The Pillars, we can’t wait to keep the celebration going all week long!

What a great morning! Thanks to a special connection - we hosted an intergenerational story hour with these sweet twins and heard their story.

Magically Different - written by their amazing mom - celebrates their journey and brings awareness to their unique differences. One brother was born with a congenital left arm, and together they remind us that our magical differences make us who we are!

It’s that time of year - we welcome new faces and celebrate all the incredible things our current student residents have been up to in our community!

As part of this program, students live at The Pillars and help contribute intergenerational programming on a weekly basis.

Grateful to live so close to so many amazing experiences! Tonight we enjoyed a beautiful ride on the Minneapolis Queen and got to check out the Stone Arch Bridge in downtown Minneapolis - such a perfect evening in the city.

It was such a perfect day celebrating community with the incredible DNP nurse anesthesia students from the University of Minnesota School of Nursing. 💛 We’re so grateful for the conversations and it definitely didn’t hurt that we got to enjoy it all with some delicious Sebastian Joe's cream!

The Pillars of Prospect Park, Senior Living Community, will greet residents in the spring of 2020. We are excited to offer a beautiful new building with Independent Living, Assistant Living, and Memory Care apartment options. As a partner with the University of Minnesota Alumni Association, we will offer special seminars, a travel program, UMAA Life Time Memberships, and more! Ebenezer management is known for their outstanding culinary menus, art/music/fitness classes, and intergenerational programs. Everyday, residents will be offered optional fun, social, and interactive programs.

The Pillars of Prospect Park will host an on-site daycare center. Residents who chose to, can engage with children in intergenerational programming. Activities like rocking babies, telling stories, and helping with crafts are life enriching to both resident and child.
