I told my grandma I was tired of being misunderstood.

Tired of giving my best and still being misjudged.

She didn’t flinch.

She simply said:

“Child, even light is hated by the dark.”

That line sat with me.

Because some people will criticize what they can’t control.
Attack what they don’t understand.
Hate what they secretly wish they had the courage to become.

And it has nothing to do with you.

It’s about the reflection your growth shines on their insecurity.

So please…

Don’t dim to make others comfortable.
Don’t shrink to fit into spaces you’ve outgrown.

Your light is not a problem.

It’s proof that you’re healing.
That you’re rising.
That you’re moving forward.

So glow anyway.
Shine anyway.
Love anyway.
Be you — fully. Loudly. Boldly.

Because even the moon gets judged — but it never stops showing up.
