Omg this is like the Super Bowl for women’s health! The FDA is finally correcting the wrongs of the misinformation around the WHI study from the ‘90s.

Finally we are on our way to supporting women without the scare tactics, misinformation, and gaslighting around HRT.

I am so hopeful for our future of support, as we all deserve to be able to choose brain, bone, and heart health protection and support!

Today is a really big day for women’s health! The FDA removed the black box warning on Hormone Replacement Therapy. I’m hopeful this is a launching pad for clarity, support and the opportunity to once and for all clear the misinformation that has plagued HRT for the last few decades.

I feel hopeful and frustrated about this information all at the same time. This black box warning removal is DECADES late. A '91 study on synthetic HRT, that was vastly misinterpreted, and later debunked was the catalyst for black box warnings on HRT for decades (and decades of medical misinformation).

This caused millions of women to be afraid to use HRT for years. At least a generation of women missed out on the prevention of the diseases of aging. They missed out on bone protection, brain protection and cardiac health protection. They missed out on feeling like themselves again. When their hormones left their bodies, they lost the gas in their tanks. Hormones don't have to be feared, and if your practitioner is afraid, it's time to find a new one. I hope this helps empower practitioners everywhere to study the truth about HRT, perimenopause and menopause, as women deserve to be supported in midlife.

To shift your relationship with stress, when you sit down to eat. Put your phone away, turn off the TV, set your fork down, and take three deep breaths before your meal.🥘

You could also add a blessing to your food, by touching your plate and sending gratitude 🙏 for your food. You can say it aloud with others, or just say it to yourself.

The practices of breath and gratitude are deep shifters off the chronic stress response, the nervous system and putting us in the rest and digest system when we are eating.

Close your eyes
One hand to heart and one to belly

Peace may not feel like a choice at times, but it truly is. If you are feeling the weight of the world 🌎. Choosing peace for yourself on a daily basis is key to shifting stress cycles, and rebalancing your stress response. Remember the stress response is affecting hormone balance. Cortisol is a stress hormone.

Choose what you are watching.
Choose what you are consuming.
Choose who you spend time with.

The news cycle is designed to create a stress response. It’s designed to send us into fight or flight, so we keep coming back for more. Is this serving your nervous system?

Social media is also designed to keep us scrolling….to keep our nervous system activated. Watch not only what is in your feed, but how much time you’re spending scrolling.

Be mindful of who you are surrounding yourself with. Are they filling your cup and your heart? Or are they zapping your mind and your energy? Be choosy, and seek out those that pour into your cup and you can pour into theirs.

As you move through your week, notice what’s on your plate… ask yourself… is this action contributing to my peace, or is this action contributing to my stress? 💜

The world has been an incredibly stressful place recently. Add to that stress, that as women we often live in a chronic stress cycle. We have so much on our plates as women and caretakers. Stressful world events that add to our already overflowing plates can push our stress levels into overwhelm.

So what can we do to break these cycles and quiet our nervous systems, when the world around feels like it is spinning.

Notice how your body is feeling.
Take small actionable steps towards peace each day.

Here are some actionable things you can do to quiet your stress response:

1. Watch what you are consuming, news and socials and is it serving or stressing you? Additionally, who you are spending time with, when you leave do you feel uplifted or more stressed?

2. Bring in a mindfulness practice… yoga, breath work, meditation, yoga nidra are all excellent options to bring you into the rest and digest part of the nervous system.

3. Walking helps to curb anxiety, clear excess energy and helps to clear the mind. It also helps to support our sleep.

4. EFT tapping is a really cool practice that helps to interrupt the stress response. You tap on specific points on the body while repeating phrases which breaks up the stress pattern.
