The world has been an incredibly stressful place recently. Add to that stress, that as women we often live in a chronic stress cycle. We have so much on our plates as women and caretakers. Stressful world events that add to our already overflowing plates can push our stress levels into overwhelm.
So what can we do to break these cycles and quiet our nervous systems, when the world around feels like it is spinning.
Notice how your body is feeling.
Take small actionable steps towards peace each day.
Here are some actionable things you can do to quiet your stress response:
1. Watch what you are consuming, news and socials and is it serving or stressing you? Additionally, who you are spending time with, when you leave do you feel uplifted or more stressed?
2. Bring in a mindfulness practice… yoga, breath work, meditation, yoga nidra are all excellent options to bring you into the rest and digest part of the nervous system.
3. Walking helps to curb anxiety, clear excess energy and helps to clear the mind. It also helps to support our sleep.
4. EFT tapping is a really cool practice that helps to interrupt the stress response. You tap on specific points on the body while repeating phrases which breaks up the stress pattern.
