When one discusses gaining knowledge in spirituality, many become frightened of the unknown while others may state it is evil to attain knowledge by questioning belief systems. Knowledge, in itself, is neither good nor evil. It is the misapplication of knowledge due to selfishness. This may also be perceived as selfishness versus service to others. Selfishness is the only real sin and all sins are an aspect of selfishness. Therefore, knowledge gained must be applied towards being a service to others otherwise it is sin (selfish). So, be curious and expand your horizons, continue to quench your thirst of knowledge. Use the opportunities given on a daily basis by applying that knowledge in service to others. How are you in the application of your knowledge, selfish, or in service?

There has always been a plan. Not only for the continuity of life, but a plan consisting of experience and companionship.
