As Kapha melts, the body may feel heavier before it feels lighter. That does not always mean something is wrong. It may simply mean the body needs support transitioning into the new season. In Ayurveda, spring is when accumulated Kapha begins to loosen and melt. That is why the body often feels heavier, slower, more congested, or less hungry. Meals that felt comforting in winter can start feeling too dense in spring. This season often does better with lighter, warmer, simpler meals and less heaviness on the plate. What can help: 1. Choose lighter lunches with cooked vegetables, mung soup, or kitchari. 2. Reduce very heavy foods like excess dairy, fried foods, and rich sweets. 3. Use digestive spices like ginger, cumin, and black pepper in meals.
