Urgent PC Neuromodulation System Urgent PC is non-surgical neuromodulation treatment for Overactive Bladder and associated symptoms of urinary urgency, urinary frequency and urge incontinence.

This type of neuromodulation is often referred to as PTNS. During Urgent PC treatment, a thin needle electrode is temporarily placed near your ankle. The needle electrode is then connected to a battery powered stimulator. After turning on the stimulator, mild electrical impulses travel up the nerves in the leg to the nerves that control bladder function. The physician observes the patient to determine the ideal level for nerve stimulation. Patients receive 12 weekly, 30 minute treatments to start. Occasional treatments, usually about once a month, may be needed to sustain improvements. Clinical trials and published studies have shown Urgent PC to be clinically effective in 60-80% of patients. The treatment is low-risk; side-effects are usually temporary and minor such as mild pain or skin inflammation at or near the stimulation site.
