For the past several years, we’ve been honored to partner with DSAMn and GiGi’s Playhouse to support families in such a meaningful way. Parents connect and learn about community resources, while we get to spend time with their wonderful kids—it’s always a highlight of our month.

Did you know that simple, everyday interactions can make a big difference in your child’s speech and language development? According to ASHA, parents can help by:

Talking with their child throughout the day (e.g., during “bath time,” “getting dressed”)

Highlighting and modeling sound patterns through rhymes and stories

Encouraging their child to retell stories or talk about their day
