Congratulations to Ally Pairolero, CT technologist at Marshfield Medical Center-Minocqua, who recently earned employee of the month honors.

Ally's nomination reads: “Summer in Minocqua always bring tourists and in turn additional ED patients. This year is no different, and with that, comes the additional patient volumes. CT and Xray are hit hard with increased volumes and all staff are very aware that for 16 weeks, the burden of our workload increases tremendously. This nominee has done a great job juggling the burden while being very new to our facility. She has been with us for a little over a year and has proved her value in many instances. She demonstrates her teamwork daily, she is always saying how she is exhausted, yet she will pick up call for other techs. Many weeks she works above her FTE to allow staff to get the time off they have requested. She demonstrates her excellence and affordability by all the little things she does that many people do not realize. She transferred from a small site and had to learn many things she was unfamiliar with to be part of our team and done so with grace. Recently, she has gone above and beyond with out of the box thinking to get exams completed that she is not familiar with all while picking up a co-workers call for multiple days in a row, so she could have time off with her family during a personal issue. This technologist is fun and silly and demonstrates her Patient-centered values with every interaction with her patients. I am not nominating this technologist for one particular instance, but for her everyday work ethic and dedication to her patient’s team and our facility.”

Marshfield Medical Center–Minocqua has received re-accreditation by the American College of Radiology (ACR) in Nuclear Medicine.

A special thank you to Judith Boisvert, nuclear medicine technologist, for all her work involved with ACR Accreditation. Gratitude also goes out to our system Nuclear Medicine technologists, Dawn Roewe and Misty Vitort, for their consistent excellence in high quality imaging and the patient care they deliver when they assist in Minocqua.

Receiving ACR Accreditation means Marshfield Medical Center-Minocqua has met all of the testing criteria established by the ACR Accreditation Committee. The department has gone through a rigorous review process to be sure it meets nationally accepted standards; technologists & radiologists are well-qualified, through education and certification, to perform and interpret your medical images. Equipment also meets or exceeds quality assurance and safety guidelines. The organization has also proven it has quality assurance programs in place.

Flu vaccines are now available across Marshfield Clinic locations. Self-schedule your appointment using your My Marshfield Clinic account, call your primary care provider or call our Vaccine Hotline at 715-387-5404 (Monday – Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.).

Receiving a flu vaccine each fall reduces your risk of getting sick and of experiencing severe complications. It also decreases the severity of illness if you do get the flu.

Jennifer James says she entered health care as a registered nurse simply with the intent to help heal. For several years, that gratifyingly involved newborn babies and their mothers.

“For 15 years, my passion was maternal/newborn nursing," said James. “As I became an expert in my specialty, I wanted to continue my journey as a lifelong learner and expand my knowledge, so I pursued my advanced degree as a nurse practitioner."
