Therapy is not a handout of back exercises or stretches. It is not a protocol that, if followed, will miraculously make you good as new. Every person is unique in their movement behaviors.

Physical therapy is a problem solving process. After surgery, therapy is more about risk management. Protection of the repair, correction of your movement limitations and a path towards the development of movement health.

Movement Matters!

In particular, YOUR movement matters. Are you moving as well as you could? Could you move better, easier, and possibly more? I believe you can.

Physical therapy is not exercise. It is not three sets of ten! It is gaining the ability to get off the floor, play with grandkids, and have the confidence to work in the yard without a fear of falling. Proper movement can take you from having back pain to running a 5k, deadlifting or playing golf without pain.

I care about movement for a reason. I believe we all have the potential to move better.
