Good evening everyone I hope you are all doing well. I know we have not been very active on this page lately as this last year has been a whirlwind. I was wondering if there are any elderly or disabled individuals that are in need of a dishwasher?I have someone who would like to pay it forward. They could possibly deliver, but you would need someone to install it for you.

The Missouri Slope Labor Council, AFL-CIO in partnership with the North Dakota AFL-CIO, the North Dakota Building Trades Unions, and the Saint Paul Regional Labor Federation, will be hosting a free food giveaway at the IBEW Local 714 Union Hall (125 35th Ave NE Minot, ND 58703) on Saturday, May 15, at 10 AM.
Food distribution will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis while supplies last. A semi will drop off 1300 30lb food boxes, as well as milk, which will be available to anyone through a contactless drive-through pick-up in the designated parking lot. Union volunteers and local labor leaders will be taking care of the food distribution and logistics for this event.

I’ve been watching the Farmers to Families website and haven’t found any deliveries coming to Minot in the near future, at least not until after June. With that said, they are out there giving out food boxes in other areas of North Dakota. Here’s the link with the dates and locations that are published so far. Hi everyone! It’s the season to open the windows and get in some fresh air! Also time for yard work. So....anyone who is willing to help our seniors and disabled persons with any mowing, please let us know. And if you are a senior or disabled in need, shoot us a message to include if you have a mower a volunteer can use. May have more volunteers than lawn mowers that can be hauled from house to house.

As well as helping the elderly and disabled in this community with small tasks that they cannot do themselves, we would love to get an idea of what other things you disabled or elderly individuals in our community could use right now.

Please comment below the things you might be in need of or having trouble getting taken care of and we will be happy to see what we can do to assist.

An individual has advised that they have 11 of the enteral feeding gravity bags and 29 kangaroo epump with flush bag for tube feeding that they would like to donate. If someone could use these they will need to be picked up at the individuals residence in Burlington. Please contact them at 701-368-2851

It looks as though winter has finally arrived. With the colder weather comes lots of snow. We do have an individual who is offering to shovel sidewalks and driveways for elderly and disabled individuals in our community at no cost (tips always welcome, but not expected.) please let us know if you are in need of some help in this area and we will try to make arrangements with this individual.

The stimulus payments are coming and needed by so many. Expect to see them the same way you received your last. A blessing for sure to start the new year.

As the second round of economic impact payments are rolled out, some Minot residents like local college student Blake Lannan said they never received the first one.

Think we can all agree that it has been a tough year. So hoping this holiday season we can all find love and peace in our hearts. It’s not about what we eat or the presents under the tree. Love, making memories, reflecting on memories, and the spirit of good will to all.

I sincerely hope and pray that everyone has that special something that brings true joy.
