Today, we celebrate Indigenous Peoplesโ Day by honoring the history, culture, and enduring contributions of Native peoples.
At Independence, Inc., we are privileged to serve a diverse community. Last year, 132 people, about 15% of those we served, self-identified as American Indian or Alaska Native. We are grateful to those who have trusted us to help them achieve their independent living goals. It is a privilege to serve these individuals, their families, and their communities, whose ancestors have long cared for the lands we call home.
Our service area includes the ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ผ๐น๐ฑ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป and the ๐ง๐๐ฟ๐๐น๐ฒ ๐ ๐ผ๐๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, and we apricate the the relationships we share with these communities and their people.
