✨ Exfoliation ✨

Do you know the importance of exfoliating your skin?

— Exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cell build up from the outer most layer of your skin.
— As we age, our collagen production decreases significantly once we hit our 30’s.
— Exfoliation promotes collagen production, while improving the skins elasticity. It helps reduce imperfections, such as fine lines, melasma or post-acne scarring. It increases skin cell turnover, which then helps even out skin tone and restores that healthy glow!

Different types of ways you can exfoliate :
💛 physical exfoliation : a granular scrub / wash.
💛 chemical exfoliation : enzymatic peel / treatment or AHA / mandelic acid peel / treatment. (performed by a professional)
💛 mechanical exfoliation : microdermabrasion, microneedling, or dermaplaning. (performed by a professional.)

Skin is the bodies largest organ. Practicing routine skin care is SO important to maintain a healthy and youthful glow. ✨

Self-care comes in all different forms.

Practicing self-care hasn’t been on my to do list lately and it shows. I’ve been extremely stressed, emotional, bouts of high anxiety, working a ton, running my children to school and sports, gym, finding time for family and friends, cooking and cleaning my house, etc. The list goes on.

Tonight after my kids were bathed and tucked into bed, I took 45 minutes to myself.
I can honestly say I didn’t realize how much I needed this until I did it.

One of my personal favorite forms of self care is extra TLC for my hair, skin, and scalp.

Face, eye, and lip mask 👄
Chilled jade roller 💆🏼‍♀️
Ran essential oils in my diffuser 🌱
Massaged my scalp, neck, and chest with oils 🌱
Whitened my teeth 🦷

Consistency is K E Y 🔑✨

Any of you who know me, know I LOVE lash extensions! I have had them on full time for the last 7 years — I was obsessed.
After battling several things this fall / winter — hives, allergic reactions, swollen eye lids, etc — I decided to take the lashes off and give my eyes a break.
I felt so naked with out extensions. I then decided to starting using lash enhancing serum along with my skin care routine at night.
I have consistently (key word) used this serum since the beginning of November and my natural lashes are SO LONG. I haven’t used a lash curler or anything in the pictures above. However, lift & tints are amazing and I will probably do that in the near future!
