MARCH RESIDENT SPOTLIGHT:
Joe grew up in Verendrye, where he spent his childhood playing basketball and snowmobiling. He later worked at Minot Sash and Door, his favorite job.

Joe says the biggest influence in his life was his wife, Dorothy. His happiest memory is the day they were married. He is proud of the many camping trips he has taken and the places he has visited over the years.

Today, Joe enjoys living at Minot Lodge, where he especially appreciates the people and friendships he has made.

🌟 February Birthday Tribute 🌟

Happy 109th Birthday to Ray Curtis!

On February 11 we celebrated not just your age, but the incredible story your life tells. One hundred and nine years of wisdom. One hundred and nine years of strength. One hundred and nine years of love, resilience, and history woven into every step you’ve taken.

You have witnessed generations rise, seasons change, and the world transform in ways most of us can only read about. Yet through it all, your presence remains a gift — steady, inspiring, and deeply treasured.

Your life is more than years counted; it is lessons taught, love shared, and memories created. You are a living legacy — a reminder that grace, patience, and perseverance can carry a person beautifully through time.

May this year be filled with warmth, laughter, and the comfort of knowing how deeply you are cherished. Your journey is remarkable, and your story continues to inspire everyone blessed to know you.
109 years young — and still shining. ✨

We are grateful to our Minot community for showing up to celebrate Ray, a very special thank you to Jane Olson for helping organize this special day. Randy and Richard Korslien for preparing Ray's favorite dish Lutefisk and Leo Ringeon for getting the lefsa. Also, thank you to Tom Joyce, City Manager who was representing the Mayor, Lindsey Bergo, VA clinic Manager, Kaitlyn Weidler from Senator Kramers office and countless people who took time out of their day to celebrate him. Also, thank you to the American Legion for recognizing his service this past Sunday!

Minot Lodge Senior Living is proud to recognize our outstanding employees who have earned the prestigious Minot Area Chamber EDC Eagle Award for January 2026. Their exceptional dedication to the residents, families and staff shows their commitment to service excellence and the importance of "Just like family."

Heidi Maier- Business Office Director, Cody Landphere- Community Resource Director, Danielle Alsadon-Executive Director are just a few our employees who make Minot Lodge Senior Living not only a great place to work but a place you can trust with your loved one.

Here is what their nominator says about them. "I am writing to recommend three special individuals who go way beyond when it comes to caring for the elderly. These three are the most caring and concerned people I have seen when it comes to caring for the elderly. They all step in and help where it's necessary. They mingle and visit with the residents, are caring, understanding, and always have a smile of their face. There is no pass the buck attitude of these three individuals. If they see someone in need they don't wait for someone to help or call it to someone's attention, they do it, whether it be help in the kitchen or on the floor they are all concerned about the welfare of the residents of the Minot Lodge.

I am familiar with the care at other facilities, and the attitude of these three individuals is unheard of elsewhere. They are all caring, understanding and outgoing and always with a smile on their face. I don't think that if you look all over Minot you would find three individuals that would be their equal."

Congratulations to Heidi, Cody, and Danielle!
