Some of you have been with us from the beginning, but some of you are new here, so we want to help you get to know our Festival of Trees Team. Let's start with our Committee Chair...Amanda! 👋🏽
🌲 How long have you been a part of Festival of Trees?
11 years...since the beginning!
🌲 What do you love about Festival of Trees?
I love that Festival of Trees is a beautiful way to support Dakota Hope Clinic while celebrating the magic of Christmas. Each year, transforming the ND State Fair into a festive wonderland brings so much joy, and I love how the theme and decor are always fresh and unique. But most of all, I love how the community comes together—donors, volunteers, and attendees—all working to create something truly special for a great cause.
🌲 What are the most important things in your life?
The most important things in my life are my family, my work, and helping others. My husband, Justin, and our two kids, Sawyer and Taylor, are a big part of who I am, even though we’re now empty nesters. Our three Wirehaired Pointing Griffons—Arty, Ripley, and Bellatrix—keep life fun and full of energy. I also love what I do with New Beginnings Imaging, where I get to show expectant parents their baby for the first time and be part of such a special moment. Helping others, whether through my business or in my community, is something I truly enjoy.
🌲 What are your hobbies/what do you do for fun?
For fun, I love couponing, staying active at the gym, and spending time with our dogs, Arty, Ripley, and Bellatrix. They keep life fun, active, and full of energy!
🌲 What's your favorite Christmas memory/tradition?
Every year, my daughter and I spent two days baking bars, cookies, and spritz cookies, then shared them as Christmas gifts with family and friends. Now that our son has moved closer to home, I'm excited to continue the tradition and bake with him during the holidays!
🌲 If you could meet one Christmas "character", who would it be?
Elf!
🌲 Favorite Christmas Food/Sweet?
Sweet potato casserole.
We are INCREDIBLY thankful for all that Amanda does to make Festival of Trees possible. Seriously, we can't properly put it into words, so we'll just say THANKS AMANDA!
