A little facelift for our logo✨

I don’t know about you guys but I’m so excited for this year and the growth that will come with it! I feel like it’s time for an update on what’s going on with Loreto.

You can get lactation care 100% covered through insurance and that includes a breastfeeding class! All you need to do is fill out this link with your insurance information and I’ll email you to set up the rest. It’s incredible to be able to offer this.

It’s Loreto Lactation’s 1st birthday! This baby business started from my deep desire to be home with my daughter while still being able to use my skills and love for women’s health. The last year we have grown slowly (the perfect speed for a new mom) and I am so grateful.

Today on the Feast Day of Our Lady of Loreto, I wanted to share the meaning behind the name I chose! Our Lady of Loreto is referring to a title of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Holy House where the Annunciation took place. Where the Word was made Flesh. It is also where Jesus grew up with St. Joseph and Mary, all of those hidden and ordinary days. Where Mary would have woken up in the middle of the night to be with her child, where she answered every cry and kissed every scrape on His knee. Tradition holds that this house has been preserved by angels in times of War to protect it from pillagers. This is why it is often depicted as being carried by angels to a safe place.

While trying to come up with a name that honored Mary, my cousin Audrey suggested Loreto Lactation. I couldn’t believe how well it fit. Jacob and I also did a novena to Our Lady of Loreto while looking for our now house. We found out about our house being for sale the day the novena ended. It was the 13th house we looked at, actually in budget, and close enough that Jacob could walk to work. The work of Mary indeed. Part of the novena is a promise to spread awareness of Our Lady of Loreto, I had no idea at the time she would be the patron of a business I would run out of the very house she found us. God is always in the details!

The most important work we do is inside the walls of our homes. I encourage you to ask the Holy Family to meet you there. As you cook and clean for your family, as you nurse your little darlings, as you kiss scraped knees, as you preform any mundane task - this is Holy work.

Exciting news! I am becoming a doula! This has been a long time coming as I attended my first birth as a birth coach over 2 years ago. Since then my passion for all things birth, women’s health, and breastfeeding has only grown! I am thrilled to be in a position to champion women for whatever their birth and breastfeeding goals are. Becoming a mom was the most transformational event of my life and I believe all women deserve to feel in control and supported during that experience.

Until the birth of my second little love in March I will be accepting a very limited amount of clients and I won’t take clients on again until after June 2024. (January & July spots are already filled)

I hope to start working with moms in their first and second trimester because I have learned so much about properly preparing your body and mind for birth. Message me for more details and inquiries!

This picture was taken in May during my sisters unmedicated birth to an 11 pound baby! She was 7-8cms here and calm and confident. She is my hero!
