Welcome to the team, Dr. Haley Phillips, PT, DPT, CBS!!!

We are over the moon excited to announce that Haley will be joining our team! She is a highly experienced pediatric physical therapist, and is now a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist. If you’ve been in the office on a Tuesday over the last few months, you’ve likely already benefited from her immense knowledge and genuine caring nature.

Haley is a true wealth of knowledge when it comes to infant and child development. In office, Haley will be providing lactation consultations, as well as therapies to support head turn preferences/torticollis, head flattening concerns, motor development and milestones, pediatric pelvic floor dysfunction, and any other developmental concerns. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Haley’s skillset in office to best serve you!

Here’s a little more about Haley:

Hi I’m Haley and am so exited to be joining the team at Thrive! I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Findlay and have spent the past 12 years specializing in pediatric physical therapy. I hold additional certifications in pediatric pelvic health, neuro-developmental treatment techniques, and am also a certified breastfeeding specialist.

I am deeply passionate about serving infants, children and their families, and am dedicated to empowering them and supporting their growth and progression through compassionate, personalized care.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband, 4 children, and therapy dog Penny.

We’re adding another NEW member to our team! We couldnt be more excited to announce that Megan Evers, M.S. CCC-SLP will be joining Thrive Feeding and Lactation!! Megan brings such a warm heart and a passion for supporting families. You may see her in office with us on occasion this summer, but she will plan to start up this fall, after welcoming her 3rd baby. Megan will be providing orofacial myofunctional therapy services, to help promote optimal breathing, mouth posture, chewing and swallowing patterns, speech readiness, and overall oral development. We know our families will be well taken care of by Megan and will immediately connect with her caring presence.

Here’s a bit more about Megan! ❤️

Hi! I’m Megan and I have been a licensed Speech Language Pathologist for seven years. I hold a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Bowling Green State University, earned in 2018. My career began in medical settings including home health, inpatient rehabilitation, and acute care, conducting modified barium swallow studies and utilizing neuromuscular electrical stimulation to support patient recovery. I also worked with newborns in the special care nursery, completing feeding evaluations and assisting mothers with breast and bottle-feeding initiation. For the past two years, I have worked at a preschool serving both general and special education classrooms, where I developed knowledge and skill in treating Childhood Apraxia of Speech. This experience inspired my pursuit of training in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy.

Amongst my career growth, my husband and I have put down roots in New Bremen, and we are welcoming our third child in June. Having children of my own has helped me find my passion for working with the pediatric population, as it is so rewarding helping them learn to eat, talk, grow, and more! Thrive Feeding & Lactation has supported one of my daughters and I personally while we worked through oral ties and breastfeeding, and it made such a positive difference in her first year of life. I cannot wait to help families overcome similar challenges, and having the opportunity to provide these services locally is the cherry on top!

You will see me officially joining this team in the fall, and until then I will be spending summer with my growing family doing lots of swimming, baking, and reading, while continuing to prepare for this exciting new chapter.

And the last provider highlight for Better Hearing and Speech Month is our founder and owner, Stephanie. (But stay tuned tomorrow for another exciting announcement!!)

Stephanie (Winner) Rahe, M.S. CCC-SLP, IBCLC has been a licensed speech-language pathologist for 12 years, as well as an International Board Certified Lactation Counsultant. She has also completed specialty training in orofacial myofunctional therapy.

Stephanie has passion for helping all babies, toddlers, and children achieve safe, effective, and functional feeding skills. Whether it be breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or starting solids. It is not only about helping children, but families need supported and loved on too!

Stephanie feels strongly that many of the feeding difficulties she sees are often just the tip of the iceberg. It takes time and thoughtfulness to dig down deep and find the root cause. Feeding is a full body process and she looks beyond just the mouth to get to the bottom of why a child is struggling. Using a full body approach helps babies to feel well so they can feed well.

She also has specialty training in the identification of tethered oral tissues (tongue ties, lip ties, cheek ties) and oral dysfunction. Stephanie is here to support you both before and after your child’s tongue, lip, and cheek tie releases so they can get their oral and facial growth, development, and function back on the right track.

Aimee Rogedhero, M.A. CCC-SLP, CLC is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and Certified Lactation Counselor. She received here Masters of Arts at Ball State University in 2012 where she began working in the medical setting as a SLP in adult acute care, providing bedside swallow studies, modified barium studies (including pediatric studies), and then transitioned to the NICU in 2016 where she supported moms and babies throughout their journey of breast and/or bottle feeding. She is passionate about this population, and loves listening and supporting moms during this difficult and challenging time.

Aimee works Monday-Thursday at the Nicholas School and Rehabilitation Center in Piqua. However, when not at the school, she loves joining us to help moms be successful at breastfeeding!
