Austin was born in Greenville, Mississippi, and has called Destin home for the past 25 years. He completed his undergraduate education at Delta State University before pursuing his graduate studies and physician assistant training at the University of South Alabama. You might recognize him from his years as a valuable asset at a local family medicine clinic and we thrilled that he has joined our team. Austin enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including hunting and fishing, and cherishes spending quality time with his family. His deep roots in the South and passion for the outdoors shape both his personal and professional life.

Ashley graduated with a master's in nursing from Florida Atlantic University in 2022 and earned her bachelor's in nursing from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2018. After becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she began her career by first assisting in brain and spine surgery. As a registered nurse, Ashley gained valuable experience in intensive care units, including level one trauma and certified stroke centers. While working in critical care, she served as the head chair of the ICU Professional Practice Council. Ashley also holds and maintains critical care certification (CCRN), which has enhanced her ability to care for patients in outpatient, operative, and acute care settings. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys traveling and trying new delicious foods. In her spare time, Ashley loves participating in Orange Theory workouts and spending time with her family.

Meet Anna Braun, one of our dedicated nurse practitioners! Anna graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, AL, in 2004 and later earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2015.

Since then, Anna has brought her passion and expertise to the Emerald Coast, where she’s spent over seven years specializing in spine care. Her commitment to helping patients lead healthier, more active lives is just one of the many reasons we’re thrilled to have her on our team.

Outside of work, Anna loves spending time outdoors. She’s a passionate runner and a proud dog mom to three adorable pups—River, Sailor, and Ranger. We can’t wait for you to meet her at The Neck and Back Institute of Florida!
