🌙 Bedtime should feel peaceful for every child.

At Ascension, March is Sleep Awareness and a reminder that quality sleep plays an important role in a child’s health, development, learning and emotional well-being.

Healthy sleep matters. Signs to monitor in your child’s sleep patterns may include trouble falling asleep, frequent waking, snoring, restless sleep, difficulty waking in the morning, or daytime irritability and poor focus.

🎗️March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, and we are shining a light on a condition that is often misunderstood and too often dismissed. Endometriosis can cause significant pain and other symptoms, and when it is overlooked or misdiagnosed, it can affect everyday life.

At Ascension, our care teams are here to listen, take symptoms seriously, and provide specialized gynecologic and oncology care when needed. We encourage early evaluation and treatment, even for teens, because getting answers sooner can make a difference.

If you are experiencing symptoms, do not wait. Schedule a complete well woman exam and talk with your provider about what you are feeling. Early intervention matters.

Join us every third Wednesday of the month from 10:00 - 11:30 AM for a supportive and welcoming group where you can connect with others on your breastfeeding journey.

Whether you're navigating newborn behavior, maintaining milk supply, returning to work, or adjusting to night feedings, we've got you covered. Plus, all sessions are guided by an experienced IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant).
This group is open to mothers and infants up to 6 months old. No registration required—show up and share your journey. We can't wait to see you there!

We’re excited to expand access to care in South Walton County. Ascension Sacred Heart has opened a new urgent care location conveniently located on Highway 98 near 30A, making it easier for families and visitors to get the care they need, close to home (or the beach).

Open seven days a week, this new location offers convenient, walk-in care for minor illnesses and injuries, from sprains and stitches to fevers and flu. No appointment needed. And there’s more to come: Primary care services will soon be available at this same location, creating a seamless care experience for the community.

It was a night of recognition for heart health in Walton County as Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast Cardiology held a grand reopening celebration of the full team and upgraded facilities. ❤️

The Walton County Chamber of Commerce was on hand for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the enhancements in patient care and comfort.

The facility is home to the largest cardiology group in the county, increasing important access to heart care with 12-percent of adults living in Walton County who have been told they have heart health issues.

Services include general cardiology and medication management, advanced diagnostic imaging, options for heart valve disease, treatment for peripheral and coronary artery disease and minimally invasive AFib treatments.
