For woman, the first noticeable sign of hair loss is often a widening part or less fullness to their ponytail. According to the American Academy of Dermatology these are some signs you might notice. Gradual thinning of the hair on your head, bald spot that grows slowly, receding hairline that becomes more visible each passing year, widening part and thinner ponytail. If you have noticed any or all of these symptoms, call our office to make an appointment.

Have you wondered if the UV lamps in nail salon dryers safe to use?⁠ The Skin Cancer Foundation says while the UVA light used in manicure lamps is not as severe as tanning devices, it can still increase your risk of skin cancer. ⁠ To play it safe with gel manicures, apply a broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen to hands 20 minutes before your hands are exposed to UV light.
