Another Satisfied client.
Well, Michelle, it was a success! A huge success, thanks to you!! My family and I can't thank you enough for not only allowing us to hold mom's memorial service at Oasis, but for going the extra mile to help make it the tribute she deserved.
When the Vitas chaplain (who used to visit mom at Oasis and sing hymns with her) agreed to perform the service, I knew it was going to be very personal. What I didn't expect was walking in to Oasis on Saturday and seeing my mother's beautiful picture, proudly displayed on an easel, and rose petals scattered on the floor from one end of the room to the other. I cried tears of joy because I felt so much love for mom and for me, as we both have since we met you.
I am so thankful you encouraged me to gather the songs and photos you needed in order to achieve the vision you had in mind of how the day would go. I told you I wasn't very good at things like this so you graciously took the lead.
I thank you and your mother for speaking words of love on mom's behalf and for the beautiful dance performed by your daughter as her own personal tribute to mom.
It didn't take long for everyone present to understand how much you cared for mom and how much she is truly missed there at Oasis. She was quite the character; a handful at times, but we were never made to feel as though she was anything other than a joy to be around.
The balloon release at the end was the icing on the cake. I'd never seen that before. The balloons were red (mom's favorite color) and white simulating polka dots which my mom was crazy about.
Sending the balloons up and watching them disappear into heaven was closure in itself for me.
Mom died in October and I didn't know much but I knew I wasn't going to have a funeral or a memorial until all of my family could be together. It was the right decision to wait and a perfect decision to have it at Oasis where mom spent her final months of life being showered with love and spoiled like a princess.
Thank you will never be enough, Michelle, for everything you, your mom and the staff at Oasis have done for me and my family. God Bless!
