It's Myth Monday!
Myth: All hospice providers are the same.
Reality: Many hospices are run by corporations, but Caring Cove Hospice is different. Caring Cove Hospice is a local company run by local people. As such, there is no “red tape” or waiting on the chain of command for approvals. In fact, Caring Cove Hospice was started by local medical professionals who have extensive experience in caring for hospice patients. They saw the good and the not-so-good and believed that there was a better way to provide hospice care. In so doing, Caring Cove Hospice recognizes how important it is to answer caregiver questions with patience and thoroughness. We understand that this can be a tough time for caregivers as they help their loved ones navigate the hospice process. At Caring Cove Hospice, we are here not only for our patients but for the caregivers as well.

Our experience with Caring Cove Hospice was exceptional. Working with Social Worker Julie was great. The communication, checking in and asking what we wanted and then actually doing it really stood out. From the time we met Dr. Sweeney at intake until the end of my loved one’s journey, Caring Cove Hospice was true to their word.

It's Myth Monday!
Myth: Hospice means that death is imminent and that the patient has given up.
Reality: Hospice is a wonderful service that can actually add quality to your life. In fact, hospice care is all about living comfortably. At Caring Cove Hospice we like to say that hospice is where peace and tranquility meet compassionate care. Patients have a myriad of services at their disposal to improve quality-of-life including physician and nursing care, home health aides, social workers and bereavement support, and pain management. as well as physical, occupational and speech therapy.
