Saint Joseph Health System is marking an exciting milestone in orthopedic care. After years of leading the way with robotic-assisted knee and hip replacement surgeries, the orthopedic team recently celebrated the retirement of the robot that helped transform joint replacement in our region.

Saint Joseph Health System was the first in the area to offer robotic technology for knee and hip replacements, offering greater precision, improved outcomes and faster recovery times. This innovation set a new standard for orthopedic care and reinforced our commitment to advanced, patient-centered solutions.

Now, we’re taking the next step forward. We will be the first in the region to introduce the newest version of this robotic system, designed with enhanced capabilities to further improve surgical accuracy and patient experience. This upgrade ensures that our patients continue to receive the most advanced care available.

The new system will allow our surgeons to personalize procedures even more, using cutting-edge imaging and planning tools to deliver exceptional results. This investment reflects our ongoing dedication to innovation and excellence in health care.

Santa brought holiday magic to our NICU, OB and pediatric unit this week! Patients, families and staff were all smiles as he spread cheer and even surprised older siblings with a shiny coin for making the nice list.

This visit was extra special—Santa is the proud grandfather of a former NICU patient. His family knows firsthand the incredible care our teams provide and he wanted to give back in a way that brightens the season for others.

Thank you to everyone who helped make these heartwarming moments possible. The holidays are about community, kindness and creating memories that last a lifetime.

There’s nothing more meaningful than a full-circle moment between an ICU team and the patients and families they serve. One year after his stay, former patient Tim returned to the SJHS Intensive Care Unit with his wife Whitney and daughter Stacey to thank the team who cared for him.
