If your child with ASD strips down in public, at the grocery store, the park, the waiting room — you are not alone. And it is not a behavior problem. It is a brain-based signal. 🧠
There are 4 reasons this happens — sensory, behavior, communication, and routine — and every single one of them has a root cause we can actually address.
Swipe through to understand what your child’s nervous system is trying to tell you. 👆
At OTEIM, we use Neuroadaptive Therapy™ to get to the root of what’s driving sensory-based behaviors — so your child can feel regulated, safe, and comfortable in their own body. In weeks. Not months. Not years.
We work with families right here in Mission Viejo AND globally through our Hometensive™ remote program — so no matter where you are, there is a path forward.

Rezzimax is one of the most versatile tools we use for providing targeted sensory input to the nervous system 👇

It can be used in so many different ways depending on what the body needs in that moment—but here are 5 ways we used it in session today:
1. Strapped to the arm or leg to stimulate the opposite side of the brain and support hemispheric activation
2. Vibratory input to the cheek to enhance oral sensory awareness and motor planning
3. With the attachment placed on the vagus nerve to support regulation and calming
4. Placed sideways on the vagus nerve for a different type of input and deeper nervous system engagement
5. With attachment vibration to the cheeks to further support speech, feeding, and sensory processing

This is what we mean when we say therapy should be dynamic and responsive—not one-size-fits-all.

As a pediatric OT, this is the assistive tech nobody is talking about.
The Ray-Ban Display glasses just dropped and I cannot stop thinking about what these could mean for the neurodiverse community.
Here are 3 reasons why:
1. Real-time live captions
For anyone with auditory processing differences or ADHD — imagine reading a conversation as it happens. Right in your lens. No phone. No “can you repeat that.” Just clarity.
2. AI as an executive function co-pilot
“Hey Meta, what’s next?” Discreet. Hands-free. Right in front of your eyes. For someone with autism or ADHD who struggles with task initiation or social cues — this is enormous.
3. Real-time translation for multilingual families
For our families navigating two languages AND a diagnosis — having instant translation living in your glasses while you are trying to process, regulate, AND communicate? That changes everything.
Is this a clinical tool yet? No.
Is this where assistive tech is headed? Absolutely.
And as someone who has spent years watching families fight for access to the right tools — I will be paying very close attention.
Save this. Share this with a parent or clinician who needs to see it.

Everything changed for me when I realized there were tools—like the Avant laser—that can actually support cellular energy.

Because here’s the truth most people aren’t talking about…

Some kids aren’t “not trying.”
Some kids aren’t “not responding.”

Some kids simply don’t have enough energy at the cellular level for their brain to absorb, process, and use what therapy is giving them.

Think about it:

If the brain doesn’t have enough ATP (energy),
→ attention drops
→ processing slows
→ motor planning becomes inconsistent
→ regulation falls apart

And then we wonder why progress feels so slow… even after years of therapy.

This is why at OTEIM, we don’t just focus on the skills.

We go deeper.

We support the foundation—the brain’s ability to actually receive and use input.

Low level laser therapy is one of the ways we do that—by helping support mitochondrial function and cellular energy so the brain is more available for change.

Because when the brain has energy…
everything else becomes possible.

✨ This is the shift.
✨ This is why results can happen faster.
✨ This is why some kids finally start to move forward.

If this resonates with you, you’re not alone—and there is another way.

Your child’s brain is constantly sending signals. What if we could actually see them — and then train them?
That’s exactly what neurofeedback does.
At OTEIM, we use QEEG brain mapping to identify which brainwave patterns are dysregulated — then use neurofeedback to gently guide the brain toward better balance. No guessing. No one-size-fits-all protocols. Just data-driven therapy built around your child’s unique neurological fingerprint.
Here’s what that means in real life:
✨ Improved focus and attention
✨ Calmer nervous system responses
✨ Better emotional regulation
✨ Deeper, more restorative sleep
✨ More availability for learning
We see this with kids with ADHD, ASD, sensory processing differences, anxiety, and more — and we see it fast. Weeks, not years.
Because when you train the brain at the root level, everything else starts to shift.

Most parents are told what their child is doing.
We show you why it’s happening using a gel free QEEG brain scan that only takes a few minutes!

The iMediSync brain map gives us a real-time look at how your child’s brain is functioning—not guesses, not labels, but measurable data.

Here’s what it can reveal:

• Areas of the brain that are underactive (linked to low attention, slow processing, poor initiation)
• Areas that are overactive (often tied to anxiety, impulsivity, or emotional reactivity)
• How well the left and right sides of the brain are communicating
• Brainwave patterns impacting focus, sleep, and regulation
• Signs of stress, overload, or inefficient neural timing
• Why your child may look capable but still struggle day to day

This is where everything shifts—because once you understand the brain, you stop chasing behaviors and start targeting the root.

At OTEIM, we use this data to build fully individualized, brain-based protocols that actually match your child’s needs.

No more guessing.
No more one-size-fits-all therapy.
Just clarity, direction, and a plan that makes sense.

What if you could stimulate your child’s brain — at the exact site where connection and communication are being processed?
That’s exactly what we’re doing with the Brain Driver at OTEIM. 🧠⚡
Using precise electrode placement at the vertex (Cz) — the crown of the head — we deliver low-level electrical stimulation directly to the areas of the brain responsible for social processing and communication.
This isn’t guesswork. It’s guided by your child’s QEEG brain map and backed by research.
A 2023 randomized, sham-controlled study published in Autism Research found that high-definition transcranial direct current stimulation targeting the Cz in children aged 4–12 with ASD led to meaningful reductions in social dysfunction scores — with social cognition improving by over 18% and social communication by nearly 11%.
At OTEIM, this is one piece of our full Neuroadaptive Therapy™ framework — combining brain mapping, neurofeedback, photobiomodulation, reflex integration, and direct brain stimulation to create real, measurable change. In weeks, not years.
