Over the last 2 days of his Neuroadaptive Therapy™ Intensive, we’ve been working on postural control, core activation, neuromuscular re-education, movement-based therapy, laser therapy, estim, and individualized support tailored to his specific needs.

Our intensives are designed to provide focused, one-on-one support for children with neurological, developmental, sensory, and motor challenges. Every program is customized based on the child in front of us and may include occupational therapy, primitive reflex work, regulation-based therapy, movement therapy, low level laser therapy, and more depending on their goals.

We never promise outcomes, but we are incredibly passionate about helping children build stronger foundations for movement, regulation, coordination, attention, and function.

At OTEIM, we meet our intensive clients exactly where they need us — physically, clinically, and energetically. 🧠✨

Today was this little warrior’s very first day with us, and before we could touch movement, regulation, or reflex work… we had to start with something more foundational:

His airway.

When a child is constantly managing saliva and secretions, their nervous system is in overdrive. Every swallow, every cough, every clear — it’s energy being spent on survival instead of learning, moving, and connecting.

So today, we got to work.

Using violet and red laser therapy on his respiratory mechanism, we targeted:

When a child has experienced a brain injury, even the earliest developmental positions—like quadruped—can feel impossible to hold.

You might notice:
- Elbows that buckle or collapse under weight
- Arms shaking or sliding out from under her
- Difficulty staying centered over her hands
- Big compensations that interrupt the position before crawling can even begin

This isn’t weakness or unwillingness.
It’s a nervous system that doesn’t yet have the stability to organize weight-bearing through the arms.

That’s where elbow blockers come in.

Elbow blockers aren’t about restriction—they’re about giving the joints a stable base so the brain can finally feel:
- Where the arms are in space
- How to load weight through the shoulders
- How to stack the body over the hands with control
