Your nervous system isn’t being dramatic.
It’s trying to protect you. 😮‍💨

This chart is a reminder that when you’re anxious, shut down, or “wired but tired,” your body is communicating, not failing.
You’re not lazy.
You’re not broken.
You’re dysregulated.

The goal isn’t to fix yourself.
It’s to learn what helps your nervous system feel safe again.

If change were a straight line, therapy would be way cheaper. 😅

This is The Cycle of Change, and yes, relapse is part of it, not proof you failed.
You can move forward, circle back, pause, restart, and still be making progress.

Real change looks like:
• Thinking about it
• Trying it
• Messing up
• Trying again
• Learning what actually works

If you’re stuck in one of these stages, you’re not broken, you’re human.
And you don’t have to do it alone.

Yeah… same. 😅

These are cognitive distortions - basically your mind’s favorite plot twists that are not based on facts.
Mind reading. Catastrophizing. “I should’ve known better.”
Your brain really said: let’s dramatize everything.

The good news?
Once you can name it, you can challenge it.
And no, you are not broken. Your brain is just doing what brains do under stress.

Daylight saving time isn’t my friend! Studies show that there are more accidents after the time changes. I imagine that one reason is because none of us know what time it is! (Except those in areas where they realize that changing of the clock does us a disservice 😆)

Happy Halloween (if you celebrate)! Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays because I enjoy dressing up and getting to be someone else for a day. I don’t dress up as much as I used to just because I don’t have the time, but I still think it’s such a fun concept. Sometimes in my line of work, I see people that have to wear a mask every day just to live their lives. That is definitely not a fun concept. What would life be like if you could live every day without a mask except on Halloween? I think it would be truly freeing!
