Building muscle is one of the biggest investments you can make for your health! Muscle or lean mass boosts your metabolism, improves insulin sensitivity, supports bone health, and is associated with more longevity! If that wasn’t enough as you gain muscle you’ll look and feel incredible! This is a pyramid of the things you need to make sure you are doing to make sure you are growing those muscles!
1. Progressively Overload: You muscle needs a reason to build more muscle. Focus on continuously challenging yourself and you’ll see your body respond💪🏻
2. Eat! Make sure you are eating in a calorie surplus for your body to have the nutrients and energy it needs to grow
3. ⁠Focus on protein. Prioritize eating 1.2-2g of protein per KG of your body weight
4. ⁠Quality foods and whole foods will be your best option when looking for foods to help you grow. This means whole foods like fruits, vegetables, protein, and fiber should be the staples in your grocery list
5. ⁠supplements: this is where things like creatine monohydrate and whey protein come in to play to help give you an extra push
6. ⁠nutrient timing! Try your best to spread out your protein evenly throughout the day to maximize muscle synthesis 💪

Are you on your thousand energy drink and still feel you have ZERO energy to get your workout done? Here are 6 things you want to make sure you do to get the most out of your workouts without so much caffeine!

• We’ve said it once we will say it again SLEEP! Make sure you are getting enough sleep for your body to recover and be ready to smash that intense workout session.
• ⁠Fuel properly. Have a balanced meal 2-4 hours before your workout with a good amount of carbs so you can have an energy boost. You only have 30min-1hour before your workout, go for some simple carbs that will digest quickly like a a banana, dried fruit, or even sometimes a rice crispy
• ⁠Stay hydrated. Once you are properly hydrated your muscles will be able to perform at their best! If you become dehydrated your muscles will fatigue quicker, be weaker, and even cramp. Rendering your workout less than ideal.
• ⁠Plan your workout so you can be efficient. Prioritize your compound lifts or harder lifts first while you have more energy and minimize risk of injury
• ⁠Pre workout might have you feeling invincible but before you start throwing around weight make sure to warm up properly. Give yourself enough time to get in a few warm up sets for each movement and get a good feel with proper form.
• ⁠Give each muscle group time to recover. Avoid hitting the same muscle group every day to get that growth and ensure that muscle can work at its best!

Feel like you are working hard on your fitness goals but not seeing a difference?
These may be the reasons why:
⭐️You need at least 12 sets to each muscle group you want to grow PER WEEK, to ensure you are providing enough stimulus for the muscle to grow.
⭐️SLEEP is so underrated. Sleep is the time where everything you have done in the gym pays off. Believe it or not, NOT giving your body proper recovery will stop you from repairing (therefore growing) the muscle tissue you have been working so hard for. In other words, make sure you are getting at least 8 hours of sleep.
⭐️ACTUALLY WORK HARD on those exercises, your last rep should NOT look like the first one. If you are breezing through the workout it is time to add some weight, reps or slow those reps down.
⭐️ALLOW every muscle group to recover, before working it out again, this goes back to making sure your muscles are recovered to give your absolute best each workout.
⭐️DON’T EGO LIFT! Your muscle, does not know the number you are lifting on the dumbbell or bar, instead focus on time and tension, proper form and mind muscle connection.

Follow these tips and you will see a lot improvement and your hard work pay off! 💪🏼

⭐️ lose weight
⭐️ get leaner
⭐️ have blood glucose balance
⭐️ get rid of constipation
⭐️ lower cholesterol lab values
⭐️ lower triglyceride lab values
⭐️ prevent disease (like cancer and diabetes)

Here are some of our favorite tips to increase fiber 🤩 check them out below 👇

🥗 Slowly increase the amount of fiber you eat, do not eat a days worth of fiber at all once (you might feel bloated and uncomfortable if you do🥲)
🍉 Drink plenty of fluids. Fluids help your body process fiber!
🥕 Snack on fruits and vegetables
🌽 Compare food labels of similar foods to find higher fiber choices
🥦 Quickly steam vegetables so that they remain colorful and crunchy - eat as a side dish
🫘 Swap meats for veggie “meats” they are lower fat, have no cholesterol and have fiber! Brands we recommend to replace meat in recipes include: Morning Star products, BOCA burgers and Gardein Ground Be’f 😋
🫛 Add beans, peas and lentils to soups, stews, salads and casseroles or even dips and spreads
