In less than 2 weeks, we’re stepping up in Central MO! It’s always a spooktacular time to come together as a community and celebrate. This year, we’re adding a festive twist with our “Spooktacular Stroll” so grab your costumes and join us for our ceremonial walk. It’s going to be a boo-tiful day!

We are stepping up for Down Syndrome in the 2025 Mizzou Homecoming Parade this Saturday, September 27th! Come join the Down Syndrome Innovations float and connect with other families and supporters in our region. There’s room on the trailer and up to 20 walkers can join along. The parade starts at 9:00am, but we are asking our community to meet up at 8:00am so our float is ready to go. The Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk–Central MO is almost here, and we’re adding a little extra fun this year!
Since our walk is so close to Halloween, we’re inviting all of our kids (and kids-at-heart 😉) to come dressed in their favorite costumes for our ceremonial walk. Think of it as a festive parade; we can’t wait to see superheroes, princesses, pirates, pumpkins, and more lighting up the Walk route!
