Last week, the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce surprised Tim Brown and Jan Rose with an award recognizing their Excellence in Service and Outstanding Commitment to the community.

We’re honored to be part of a city that values service, leadership, and partnership. Ric Brown Family Funeral Home is proud to stand alongside the Mission Chamber as we work together to strengthen our city and support the families who call it home.

Tim had the chance to visit Lone Star Citrus, the only family-owned Texas citrus packing shed in the entire state. What an incredible operation. From the sheer scale of their facility to the mountains of fresh grapefruit moving through the line, it’s a reminder that some of the sweetest fruit in the country comes right here from Mission, Texas!

Proud to highlight another local business that helps make our community unique!

Tim Brown stopped by the grand opening of Salon Agave, a beautiful new salon in Mission offering hair and nail services.

Ric Brown Family Funeral Home was proud to represent the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce and support local businesses like Salon Agave. The RGV thrives when we lift each other up, and celebrating new ventures in our community is what it's all about.

Congratulations to Salon Agave on the grand opening! Wishing you success and growth ahead!

Celebrating 90 years of creativity in our community!

Tim Brown had the privilege of joining the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce at the Upper Valley Art League , one of Mission’s true treasures.

From local artists to rotating monthly exhibits, UVAL continues to bring beauty, culture, and connection to the Rio Grande Valley and we’re grateful for the impact they’ve made for nearly a century.

If you haven’t stopped by yet, now’s the perfect time to explore their gallery and support the incredible artists who make Mission shine.

The season of giving is here, and Ric Brown Family Funeral Home is honored to be part of something truly meaningful.

Tim Brown stopped by La Plaza Mall today as The Salvation Army kicked off their Angel Tree Program — with Santa himself helping launch the holiday spirit. 🎄

We’ve adopted two angels this year, and we’d love to encourage you to join us. Every tag represents a child in our community who deserves a Christmas filled with joy, hope, and love.

If you’re out at La Plaza, stop by the Angel Tree and consider adopting a child of your own. A small act of kindness can make a very big difference.

Tim Brown, Ric Brown Family Funeral Home, had the privilege of joining The Salvation Army at La Plaza Mall as they launched this year’s Angel Tree Program — a mission we are honored to support.

Every tag on that tree represents a child in Hidalgo County who deserves to wake up to a Christmas morning filled with hope, joy, and a reminder that our community cares. With over 2,300 children in need this year, every “angel” adopted truly makes a difference.

We’re grateful for the partnership between The Salvation Army and La Plaza Mall and proud to stand behind a program that brings so much light to families right here in the RGV.

If you’re out shopping, stop by, say hello, and consider adopting an angel this season. Together, we can help make Christmas brighter for every child.

Last week, Tim Brown joined the City of Mission Veterans Day Parade — a powerful reminder that we live in the land of the free because of the brave. 🇺🇸

We were proud to stand alongside our very own veterans — Alex Almanza (U.S. Army, 27 years of service), Ellie Rojas, and Joseph Swigart — as the community came together to honor the men and women who’ve sacrificed so much for our country.

At Ric Brown Family Funeral Home, we don’t take their service lightly. We’re forever grateful for their courage, their dedication, and the freedoms they’ve helped protect.
