If you’re craving a change—big or small—it’s not selfish. It’s brave.

Starting over, setting new boundaries, or pursuing a dream doesn’t mean you’re walking away from what you've worked years to build. It means you’re modeling resilience, courage, and self-worth. 💪 You can do this.

P.S. This was me ⬇️⬇️⬇️ right at the cusp of making a big career move. The ME in this picture was scared to death about realigning her entire career to match her new identity as a mother. I see this picture now and think, "Dang, I was so scared and so brave at the same time."

Rep’ing in my 9-8-8 ; shirt today for su***de prevention month. So, what exactly is 9️⃣8️⃣8️⃣ for? It’s similar to 9️⃣1️⃣1️⃣ as someone always answers the call….

BUT it’s different because
❣️this line is for folks experiencing a mental health crisis or for ANYONE supporting or concerned about someone who may be experiencing a mental health crisis
❣️ rarely will 988 responders send an ambulance. 🚑
❣️ the folks who answer the call are usually local to the area you are in when you call
❣️ the call is anonymous

Who out there would like to hop on a 🆓 1 hour zoom to educate yourself on su***de prevention? I’ve got a couple already scheduled for schools! 🫶🏻🙋🏼‍♀️! Drop me a DM or comment if you’d be interested! ⬇️

Hey parents of school age kids.... it is September 8th. ARE YOU IN THE THICK OF IT YET?! The Stilwell's are !!!!!! If I'm being honest, the kids' schedules are more demanding than mine and my husband's. One little thing will set anyone off at this point! Long days of school, straight to evening activities, homework, etc. If you don't make a plan, you truly do plan to fail. It's time to get intentional!

If your calendar feels overwhelming this school season 📅, try the “3 P’s” method:
✅ Prioritize (what truly matters)
✅ Plan (realistic schedules, not perfect ones) - AND MEALS, so you don't have another thing to feel like you failed at
✅ Pause (give yourself permission to rest)

Your kids learn balance by watching you. 💙

Breathe deep, my friends (and tell your kids to do the same). Take it one day at a time, and try to keep everything in perspective. In 20 years, will this "thing" really matter?

September is su***de prevention month. We can all play a role in su***de prevention. 🌟

If you’re worried about someone you love, try these steps:
1️⃣ Check in with kindness and compassion.
2️⃣ Listen without judgment.
3️⃣ Encourage professional help and offer to support them in finding it.

🫶 You don’t need the perfect words—you just need to show up. If you're not sure how to help or what to say, help is a phone call away. Dial 988 24x7!

Here in Kansas, we are closing out the summer and will be starting new schedules SOOON! So here is your friendly reminder, your time ⏱️ and energy are precious. It’s ok to be selective on who you choose to share it with. My FAVORITE time this summer was spent on our family Vacay to Seattle and Big Sky.

With the end of summer comes new beginnings and new schedules. My office hours are 8am-5pm 3 days a week. GOOD NEWS if you’re looking to squeeze in an appointment this Month! I have in person AND Telehealth appointments available on 8/19, 8/20 and 8/21!

So this is the REAL new year for anyone with kids heading back to school and for family’s finding their new routines. Am i right?!

It’s stressful. Everyone is a bit more touchy, on edge or less lovable with impending change. It’s not you! It’s not them. It’s AUGUST.

I’m working on a plan for all you families with kids who “refuse” school or have too many absences. Stay tuned for more info!

🗣️It’s my annual PSA! 🗣️

Back to school time is here which means relief for some, stress for others; anticipation, anxiety and everything in between! (if you know you know!)

TIP: If you’ve been meaning to get a therapist for your teen, do it now before school starts. Getting that relationship in place now, will keep you from scrambling later when the stress and demands pick up. I have a few openings left the week of August 11th if you’re in Kansas or the KC metro!

If you’ve ever found yourself in a particularly difficult season of life: medical diagnosis, divorce, death of a loved one, sudden job loss, bouts of depression, I strongly recommend this book.

Katherine reminds us to give ourselves the grace and space of a “winter season” to rest, retreat, heal, and discover who we are and what we truly need in this season.

I strongly recommend it. And if you like audio books, it is a calm voice with a delightful British accent. ❤️📕📚
