Check out all the fun holiday creations we have been making here in the clinic the past few weeks! 🦌🎅 While making these festive treats, we were also working on creativity, executive function, fine motor skills, and coordinating both hands together!

❄️This snowball fight in OT wasn’t just fun, it was the therapy guided by the child’s interests! Through play we worked on motor planning and coordination. The child led format is when the therapist follows the child’s choices in play, creating a safe, accepting space for children to lead. When kids are motivated, learning happens naturally! ❄️

Building strength while spreading holiday cheer! 🎄 💪 In this PT session with our physical therapist, Mackenzie, Layne is pushing himself across the room on a scooter board to add ornaments to the tree. As he’s doing this, he’s working on postural strengthening!

Check out our clinic’s new sensory table! Sensory tables are hands on play stations that can be filled with material like rice, beans, water or sand that kids can play with to explore their senses! 🏖️ We love them because they support regulation fine motor skills, attention and creative play! Not only that, but we actually built the table during an OT session! ✨ Building the sensory table was great practice with focus and attention, communication, following directions, and fine motor skills!
