Today is World Mental Health Day, and with everything going on around us, it feels vital to pause and acknowledge it.
Mental health struggles are no stranger to me—I face them myself, I’ve lost a parent to them, and I work with incredible clients who confront them daily. When I reflect on the state of the world, I can’t help but think, *of course.*
One of the many things I cherish about Chinese Medicine is its recognition that the spirit is just as essential as any other part of the body. It offers a framework for deep listening, safe touch, and truly embodied care. How amazing is it that acupuncture includes points specifically for “regulating the spirit”? Points for fear, heartbreak, and grief. 😭✨
We are full, complex, beautiful beings living in a world of great turmoil. I am deeply grateful to this medicine for the solace it provides.
