What To Expect In A Shiatsu Massage with Christian Goldberg:

For one, it will be in warm, calm lightning like this, but not this orange. ☺️🧡

Shiatsu massages start with a gentle stomach check-in. “Palpating the stomach” may sound intense, but rest assured there are no rough prodding pushing moves or “punch to the gut” at all, just an easing, gradual, assessing “listening” kind of touch.

After that, you may not remember what happens! You might have come in for sciatic nerve pain and end up releasing heartbreak. You might come in with grief on the mind and end up improving knee mobility. There is no formula or certainty other than the body healing exactly where you need it, emotional and physical and dis-ease are interconnected.

Unlike typical massages, you lie down fully clothed on the floor for a Shiatsu massages. You are not so much pressed down so much as rotated and invited to open. As a result, it can energize you when you emerge.

Christian Goldberg is our lead Shiatsu masseuse and she leads with attuned, gradual patience every step of the way. If you have muscle guarding from trauma, difficulty breathing fully, facial adhesions, and overall stress, a Shiatsu massage can restore emotional and physical flow and release tension.

My Journey as a healing practitioner began in 2000 when I became fascinated with the realms of energy. I was intrigued with this force that we can not see but I felt it and knew it was the fabric of life itself. Over time I have come to believe the quality of our life is only as vibrant as the quality of this life force in our body. There are many ways in which we can clear, cleanse, heal and increase our energetic life force. I began my journey into the study and practice of various healing modalities including Massage, Traditional Thai Massage/Medicine, Usui Holy Fire Reiki, Shamanism, Yoga, Dance, and the long process of unveiling my own intuitive gifts. Over the years I have become humbled and passionate about helping others navigate their path to healing and vitality. My hope is that when people begin the path of healing, they begin to wake up and embody their own personal power and gifts. This to me helps heal the planet itself. As a Sacred Ally, I will stand with you through these changing tides. I am of service to your path of awakening so that you can tap your vitality and live a life of joy, power, and abundance.
