Our Story

I have worked in the mental health field for 28 years and am a person with lived experience. I combine my education and life experiences to help you reach your recovery goals. I am married and have three children. In my spare time I enjoy reading, gardening, and crafting.

Recovery from Mental Illness is the overall goal. Recovery is “A process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and strive to reach their full potential.” This is done by addressing the four dimensions of Health, Home, Purpose, and Community. For more information check out https://www.samhsa.gov/find-help/recovery.

I use a variety of evidence-based techniques to assist each person with their goals and dreams. I take from Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Strengths Based, Narrative, and Behavioral Activation. By using a variety of techniques, each person receives specific treatment for their identified issues.

Additionally, I supervise students, Certified Behavioral Health Peer Support Specialists, and Licensure Candidates for Social Workers and Professional Counselors. If you are interested in supervision services, please contact me.
