Since the beginning, we’ve sat around the fire and told one another stories. The fundamental need to share our experiences is intrinsic to the human condition. This generative, workshopped-based class provides you with the skills, techniques, and confidence necessary to share your true-life, personal stories with an audience. Each week, you will receive a story prompt, and students will share and workshop the stories in class. Sessions will be an even mix of storytelling, group discussion, and an assortment of exercises, all geared towards building trust and confidence, strengthening storytelling technique and ability, and offering a safe space for people to share their lived experiences.
