⚾ Community Spotlight: Missoula Challenger Baseball ⚾

At Moving Mountains Therapy Center, we love connecting families with programs that share our commitment to inclusion, confidence-building, and joyful movement. That’s why we’re excited to spread the word about Missoula Challenger Baseball through Garden City Softball Little League. 💙

Missoula Challenger Baseball is a FREE, adaptive Little League program designed for children and young adults with physical and intellectual challenges. The focus is on fun, friendship, and participation—meeting each player exactly where they are.

Whether athletes are hitting from a tee or running the bases with a buddy, this program creates a welcoming space where everyone belongs. Players and buddies even suit up in Missoula PaddleHeads jerseys, generously donated by Peter and Susan Davis, adding to the excitement and sense of pride on the field. 👕

🌟 Why We Love This Program:
⚾ Inclusive play for ages 5–22+
⚾ Adaptive support for all skill levels
⚾ Encouraging buddy system
⚾ Special annual game with the Missoula PaddleHeads at Ogren Park Allegiance Field
⚾ 100% FREE for all participants

If you’re part of our Moving Mountains Therapy Center community and looking for a supportive, fun way for your child or young adult to get involved in sports and build friendships, Missoula Challenger Baseball is a wonderful opportunity to explore.

We’re proud to share resources that help our community grow stronger—on and off the field. 💫

🧡 At Moving Mountains Therapy Center, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported — especially during times when the world feels heavy and uncertain.

With so much violence, fear, and distress filling the news and our communities, many children are picking up on the emotions around them, even if they don’t fully understand what’s happening. When little ones hear about hard or frightening events, it can impact their sense of safety.

💛 What can help:
• Limiting media exposure to reduce overwhelm
• Making space for big feelings — questions, worries, sadness, and confusion are all valid
• Finding micro-joys — small moments of play, routine, and connection can bring comfort and grounding

🧸 As an interdisciplinary pediatric therapy clinic, Moving Mountains is committed to creating safe, nurturing spaces where children can grow, learn, and reach their full potential — even in difficult times. Supporting emotional regulation, resilience, and connection is at the heart of what we do.
