What began in 1981 with the iconic words “Ladies and gentlemen, rock and roll” has now come to an end. 💿 After four decades of shaping youth culture, MTV Music has officially gone off the air.

From “Video Killed the Radio Star” to TRL, Unplugged, and The Real World, MTV Music was more than a TV channel — it was a movement. ⚡ It created stars, broke boundaries, and gave every generation a sound, a look, and an attitude. 🎸

But as streaming and social media took over, the network that once defined cool slowly became a piece of nostalgia. 💔

For millions, MTV Music wasn’t just television — it was youth, rebellion, and rhythm.

It’s time to address this issue! I am frequently asked if I charge a fee for using a credit card to purchase eyeglasses. NO, I do not. I will not. I would like my customers to use the form of payment that works best for you... I am so happy that you choose to shop at Uptown! Yes, it does affect the bottom line to pay credit card fees. It always has. As a consumer myself, it doesn’t feel good to see a sign at a business that you will pay more if you use a credit card. It’s every business owner’s choice, it is just not for me. I love checks, so feel free to use them here! I have and always will accept all debit and credit cards! And thank you for supporting me for 21 years❤️
