Hi, I’m Rachel Hauseur, licensed massage therapist and owner of Healthy Self Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. I help women find relief from pain and stress through a combination of massage and bodywork. Pain and overwhelming fatigue have been a part of my life as far back as I can remember. I understand what it feels like to drag through your days faced with pain, anxiety, and utter overwhelm. Having been down that path myself, I believe to the core of my being that no woman should have to live her life that way. I have made it my mission to help women find relief from pain and stress so they can find their freedom and live their best life. I am tenacious when it comes to learning and am continually expanding my skillset and knowledge base to provide the most beneficial and effective therapy for my clients. I graduated from Massage School in 2004 and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. I also spent years working as a personal trainer to fine tune my understanding of the human body and how it works. I have extensive training in multiple modalities and am currently training in Fascial Counterstrain and Cranial Sacral Therapy. I help women like you decrease pain and stress. I excel at using my massage training to decrease pain, stress, inflammation, joint strain, overwhelm, and just generally help women feel better. My best days are the ones when I have a client get off the table and tell me that some part of them feels better than it has in years. When practicing Qigong Meditation... you focus on your breathing, and visualize the Universal light coming in through your skin, to all parts of your body, and you feel this deep connection you have with the Universe.

Most of the energy we need to have a healthy body, mind, and spirit comes through our breathing.

When you inhale, visualize the energy coming in through your skin, running through all the cells in your body, and collecting in your lower dantian.

When you exhale, you visualize all the energy you don’t need. Just say in your mind...
“all the energy I don’t need in my body is changing into smoke, shooting out from every part of my body to the ends of the Universe.”


You can visualize your body just like a star shining, shooting out the energy, radiating the heat out. That’s the way you can imagine.

You can visualize sending that light out through your skin. And you feel that moment. You feel this deep connection to everything around you, and to the entire Universe.

“Even if you’ve never heard the word ‘Qigong’ before, you have been doing it all your life, you may have just not realized it.”

Qigong means “working with energy.” It does not mean “doing your qigong exercises and meditations.”

So, yes, it is BEST if you make time to do Small Universe or the Butterfly Meditation and the healing movements.

But that’s a limited view of Qigong. You can do Qigong anywhere, anytime, all day long.

How about this?

When you go grocery shopping, try to smile with love every time someone makes eye contact with you.
Smiling opens your heart, and it helps to open the heart of the other person.
The love you share this way is the most powerful healing energy there is, and smiling releases endorphins in your own body – which help you to heal. What do you think happens when you keep doing that?

When you are standing in line, sitting in traffic, or sitting at home, practice energy breathing.
That means visualizing healing energy entering every pore of your skin, running between all your cells, and gathering deep behind your navel when you breathe in, then visualizing any pain or sickness leaving the body as smoke – out through the pores, going to the ends of the sky.

This breathing is a foundation of Spring Forest Qigong, and you can do it any time, anywhere, with no physical effort.

Before you leave the house every morning or before you go to bed every night, take a few seconds to close your eyes and give thanks for ten things in your life.

They can be as simple as, “I am thankful I have food today” or “I am thankful for a chance to have a better day today.”

Gratitude helps the kidney energy, and kidney energy is the body’s vitality.

The more you can support the kidney energy, the faster you can heal and the more energy you will have to do everything you like.

So you see my friend, you can bring your qigong practice into every moment, not just by doing movements and meditations.

Thank you for your patience as the city of Missoula begins its process of reopening. My goal is to figure out how to reopen Healthy Self in a time frame and manner that is as safe as possible for both my clients and my family. Our Story

Rachel has been in the health and wellness field for over 15 years. She received her formal massage training at Mueller College of Holistic Massage in San Diego, CA and a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from Humboldt State University. Rachel specializes in Therapeutic Deep Tissue Massage, Strain Counterstrain, Myoskeletal Alignment, Trigger Point Therapy, and Pre- and Postnatal Massage. Rachel is passionate about educating her clients and empowering them to take control of their own health and well-being. She has a mindful, nurturing touch and a relaxed, professional presence that allows her to work well with a variety of clients. She has experience working with clients who are recovering from accidents and injuries, specializing in the relief of chronic pain patterns. Rachel is certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and is a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
