New Canvas Recovery and Lymphatic Massages is looking to build up our team with professional, knowledgeable, and skilled massage therapists. We are a detailed, results & customer care-oriented wellness clinic that offers therapeutic and lymphatic drainage massages for post-surgery, detoxing, body contouring, and lymphedema clients. Our therapists are highly independent, professional, and talented. Our clients expect a certain level of quality, and we constantly strive to educate ourselves to better serve them.
The ideal candidate is excellent in multiple therapeutic modalities and an expert in manual lymphatic drainage.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Certificate/Licensure:
-Current Texas Massage License (required)
-Certified Lymphedema Therapist (required)
Required Knowledge:
-Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology of the lymphatic system
-Ability to differentiate between normal and diseased state of lymphatic system
-Advanced knowledge of Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Complete Drainage Therapy
-Indications and contraindications for MLD and CDT
-Measuring techniques for edema (volumetric and circumferential)
-Lymphedema bandaging techniques for upper and lower extremities
-Measuring techniques for compression garments
-Ability to devise MLD sequences for indications of post-surgical edema, post-traumatic edema, fibromyalgia, detoxification
-Familiarity with using cavitation machines
Experience:
-1+ years of experience working in a medical spa or with post-surgical patients (required)
-1+ years experience treating primary and secondary lymphedema (preferred)
Modalities:
-Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (required)
-Wood therapy Sculpting/Contouring (preferred)
-Cryotherapy (preferred)
-Tape therapy (preferred)
-Light therapy (preferred)
-Cupping (preferred)
