Cozy Living Community We provide a holistic way of assisting our elderly members through their golden years of life. At Cozy Living your care is our concern.

We acknowledge the Cozy Living Community as their home; and that the caregivers are there for their assistance. Our goal is to create a comfortable environment that you can call home. Our care staff makes your life easier. We provide the extra assistance you need to enjoy each day. Some of the services we provide include:

RN supervision 24 hours a day

Professionally trained care providers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Visiting home physician, and psychotherapist with MD order

Medication management, blood sugar monitoring, monitoring vital signs

Assistance with activities of daily living

Three nutritious meals as well as 2 snacks per day

Planned social activities; arts and crafts

Housekeeping and laundry service

Private and semi-private rooms available

Long term care or short term care

Hey Cozy Living Community Family!

We are excited to introduce something new to start the week—Memory Monday!

Memory Monday will replace our Flashback Friday emails, but the heart behind it remains the same: taking a moment to look back and celebrate the memories, milestones, and special moments that make Cozy Living Community such a wonderful place to live and work.

Today’s Memory Monday takes us back to a special moment for our team—our very first Cozy Living Community Marketing Team Retreat. The retreat was held in the conference room at our Friendswood location and focused on building something important for our future: the creation of our Marketing Team Playbook. This playbook helps guide how we share the story, mission, and heart of Cozy Living Community with the families and communities we serve.

Quarterly Resident Spotlight: Lisa Jespersen
We're excited to reveil our lastest Resident Spotlight!

Lisa Ann Jespersen was born on May 3, 1966, in Ames. At the age of three, she moved with her loving family to Houston, where she spent most of her childhood.

Growing up, Lisa enjoyed school and had a special love for arts and crafts and attending summer camp. However, her favorite activity was traveling with her family. One of her fondest memories is taking trips in a camper van, visiting relatives, exploring parks, bird watching, and hiking together. These adventures created lasting memories that she still cherishes today.

During her senior year of high school, Lisa had the exciting opportunity to move to England, where she learned to play the trumpet. After graduation, her boyfriend gave her a very special gift—a trip through Europe with her sister using Eurail passes. The sisters spent several weeks traveling and exploring together. Lisa fondly recalls that experience and says, “I had a blast!”

Lisa later attended the University of Houston, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion and Health Education. During her college years, she married her college sweetheart, and the couple shared 15 years of marriage.

Lisa’s life has been filled with travel, meaningful connections, and experiences that have shaped her compassionate and reflective spirit.

Fun Fact Friday

We are excited to introduce a new weekly email from Cozy Living Community called Fun Fact Friday! Each Friday, we will share a fun or interesting fact about our facility, our amazing staff, our wonderful residents, or sometimes just something random and educational that we think our community will enjoy.

Our goal is to keep everyone connected, informed, and maybe even teach something new along the way!

This Week’s Fun Fact:

Did you know that Cozy Living Community hosts monthly Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR classes? Our next scheduled class is Friday, March 27, 2026.

Starting this month, our CPR classes will be teaching the updated 2025 guidelines. These updates help ensure that caregivers, staff, and community members are prepared to provide the best possible care in an emergency.

Here are a few important updates from the new guidelines:

The Chain of Survival now includes a new link: Recovery and Survivorship.

Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (Choking):
If a person can no longer cough, speak, or breathe, provide 5 back slaps followed by 5 abdominal thrusts until the obstruction is relieved or help arrives.

At Cozy Living Community, we believe that education and preparedness help keep our community safe. We are proud to offer training opportunities that empower our staff and community members with lifesaving skills.

March Activity Calendar !
Spring is right around the corner, and we are excited to share our March Activity Calendar with you! This month is filled with a wonderful mix of returning favorites and exciting new events we know everyone will enjoy.

We are bringing back some of our fan-favorite activities, including:

✨ Soul Food Sunday – A delicious time of comfort food and great company.
✨ Spa Day – Relax, refresh, and enjoy a little well-deserved pampering.
✨ Story Time with Lisa – Always a heartwarming and engaging experience for our residents.

In addition to these favorites, we have several special events planned for March:

🍀 St. Patrick’s Day Celebration – March 16th
Wear your green and join us for festive fun as we celebrate together!

🤠 Go Western Day – March 20th
Dust off those boots and hats! We’re encouraging residents and staff to dress in their best western gear for a day full of western-themed fun.

🐣 Easter Social – March 29th at 10:30 AM
Join us as we decorate eggs and enjoy delicious snacks and desserts. Families are warmly invited to attend and celebrate with us!
