At this point, we’ve all been taught health buzz words when it comes to picking out good quality foods.
Words like “organic”, “natural”, “made with real ingredients” all sway us to believe these are the healthy choices.
But the truth is those words don’t always mean what we think they do.
Things to consider
☝🏾”If it’s sold in stores, it’s safe”
Stores aren’t designed to filter for health.
They’re designed to sell what people will buy.
Which means a lot of what’s on the shelves... is there because it’s convenient, and profitable not necessarily because it’s good for you.
✌🏾 “Organic = healthy”
Organic just means how something was grown or made it doesn’t mean:
* low sugar
* minimally processed
* or free from additives
You can still have organic products that put stress on the body over time.
👉🏾 “Small exposures don’t matter...”
This is one of the biggest misconceptions.
Because it’s easy to think:
“it’s just a little bit”
“it’s just one snack”
“it’s just one drink”
But it’s rarely just one thing.
It’s the snack + the drink + the products in our home...
repeated day after day.
And over time that’s what adds up
Start small. One swap at time. 🤍
