It’s that time of year again to THINK PINK! This ALL WOMEN'S tourney is meant for a FUN day for lady golfers (or even those who have never golfed a day in their lives) and to raise awareness for breast cancer during Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Team cost includes: Carts, noon meal, catered dinner, prizes for the top two teams, prizes for best team head/footwear, pin prizes and more.

This is NOT a serious, "normal" tournament! It's four person best ball, but the second nine holes feature a VERY non-traditional time on the green: Play it, or pay it challenges! In the past, these challenge holes have included everything from teeing off blindfolded and on one foot, to putting with marshmallows and even frisbee golf! So play the challenge, or pay to bypass it. (Challenges are on all nine holes.)

The CHI Health Missouri Valley Cancer Support Group will meet on Thur., Sept. 25 at 5 p.m. in the Logan Room by the administrative wing. This group is centered towards anyone that has been affected by cancer - not just cancer patients or survivors. Carolyn Ettinger, Executive Director of Wings of Hope, will be speaking with the group. Refreshments will be served.

It’s that time of year again for us to THINK PINK! The third annual Playing in Pink (On the Green) ladies ONLY golf tournament is slated for Sat., Oct. 11 this year, with registration at 9 a.m. and tee-off at 10 a.m. at the Woodbine Golf Course. Participants and volunteers will receive lunch (walking tacos) and a catered supper from Good Fellows … and a whole lot of laughs! The back nine of this tournament will feature the ever-popular “Play It or Pay It” challenges. We’re not going to give away this year’s challenges, but previous years have included blowing your ball into the hole after it hits the green, putting while using your club as a pool stick, teeing off on one leg, frisbee golf and so many more! A big milestone for the team at CHI Health Nebraska Heart! Dr. Nayanjyoti Kaushik, Dr. Wynn Hunter, and the entire cath lab team are celebrating more than 500 successful ablation procedures in the last year!

A minimally invasive therapy for treating select patients with tricuspid valve regurgitation is now available at CHI Health Nebraska Heart!

The team completed its first procedure on Thursday, making it the first at the hospital and for all of CHI Health in Nebraska. Congratulations to the physicians and team who made this possible, ensuring our patients have access to the latest and greatest treatments!

Each year, CHI Health Immanuel Rehabilitation Institute and Nebraska Adaptive Sports put on a week-long camp for wheelchair athletes ages five through high school. This year's camp was a huge success, including athletes from Nebraska, Iowa, and Kansas!

The camp introduces these athletes to different kinds of adaptive sports - from wheelchair softball to hand cycling. Beyond sports, the camp fosters friendship and shows these kids their full potential.
