About Krall Eye Clinic
In 1900 the world was a very different place. However, that’s the year that Dr. J. J. Krall, born in 1876 in Pliskov, Czechoslovakia, began a career, which now spans 5 generations. James Joseph Krall, began his business in Spillville, Iowa as an Optician, jeweler and piano tuner. His interest in optics propelled him to procure a degree from the Illinois College of Optometry, a school that would see 4 more generations of Krall graduates. In 1946 he established a permanent practice in Mitchell, SD where he was joined by his daughter Barbara, and in 1956 by his grandson Dr. Charles. In 1988 Dr. Jeffrey, joined his father in practice followed by his brother Dr. Joseph in 1992. In 2014, Dr. Peter Krall, grandson of Dr. Charles began the practice of Ophthalmology in Vista, California. Now, in 2018 through innovation and technology, Krall Eye Clinic has introduced the Neurolens. While we point with pride to the long list of accomplishments of our Dr.’s and staff, it is the patients we serve that are our most important legacy. Diagnostics, a state of the art laboratory and the resources of a highly trained staff, are at your disposal whether you need new contact lenses or an in-depth consultation.
