We can attach a QR coded coin emblem to a granite monument that you as the family have full control over to add any photos, videos, text that you would like to.

Shafer Memorials, along with others, were part of those whom helped with the creation of the Mitchell Graceland Baby section in 1993. We continue to donate the markers for the babies buried in this section as we have from the beginning. Our hearts go out to each family who goes through this loss.

South Dakota Mahogany granite is a nice warm color tone. The family wanted a headstone for their sister with a little different shaping to compliment her parents she is next to.

Clients are asking for a more natural, boulder look for a monument option. This half boulder is in our display on a custom rocked base which is complimented by a rustic vase/planter. The back and sides are still the natural boulder it was cut from, the front was polished for engraving to show up crisply.

Shafer Memorials has been a family business in the same location Since 1919, we are now proudly in our 6th generation.

We feel it is important to remain doing the engraving of our memorials ourselves. In our shop we not only engrave the name, dates, and artwork—but we do the hand carving you see in the flower petals and leaves.
