Isn't it interesting that nearly every resident and every staff member at nursing homes are vaccinated for influenza, but yet when there are cases of influenza in the building, residents are still treated with tamiflu to prevent influenza. I thought the flu shot was supposed to do that! Make it make sense!

It's with a heavy heart that we are closing the clinic and reopening as a child care center! I hear the money is better and less work! Just kidding! Happy New Year! The clinic will be closed tomorrow for the holiday but open again on 1/2/26.

The US Department of Health has thankfully banned chemical and surgical mutilation procedures for children! If your childs doctor supports these, take your child and run as fast as you can and never go back. This will go down as one of the worst medical recommendations in human history.

Some people in the medical field remain completely ignorant. No wonder vaccination numbers are down when families were lied to and forced to vaccinate during COVID. It's normal to question vaccines and other medical recommendations when people have been lied to so much. The risk of a child dying of COVID is far less than 1%. For older adults and the pneumonia vaccine, you have to vaccinate one thousand people to prevent one case of invasive pneumonia. This number is better for people with high risk conditions however. One over-shadowed failure in all of this is lack of informed consent.

I completely agree with the recent CDC ACIP recommendations regarding the Hepatitis B vaccination for newborn babies. See the attached picture. There are ZERO rational arguments against this recommendation change. Individual based shared decision making is the best policy. Unfortunately, politics and money have gotten in the way of common sense. Back when I was a doctor who was doing what I was told and checking boxes, I vaccinated my children on day one of life for Hepatitis B without any critical thinking. I wish I wouldn't have. Women are screened for Hepatitis B during pregnancy. If the screening is normal, there is absolutely no need for a Hepatitis B vaccination for newborn babies born into loving families. Hepatitis B is a virus spread through sexual activity and blood. I'm not anti-vax, but I am for common sense.

Unfortunately, many large hospital systems plan to ignore this CDC ACIP recommendation and follow their own policies. It's funny that during covid it wasn't that way!
