It is hot and muggy out there today! Once the sun pops back out take advantage of these health benefits of summer!

1. Did you know that almost 35% of adults are estimated to be deficient in Vitamin D? This is way more prevalent in the upper midwest due to our harsh winters and avoiding sunlight! Vitamin D is critical in cell immunity, so make sure you're replenishing your vitamin D this summer!

2. Sunlight exposure boosts serotonin production, which is linked to improved mental health!

3. Sunlight and physical activity that often comes with the summer months actually helps regulate the body's circadian rhythm and helps you sleep better!

4. Studies show that often times sunshine and being outside can lower blood pressure and dilate blood vessels, which in turn help your heart pump better!

5. Due to the sunshine, people are encouraged more to spend time outside doing more physical activity. This overall can help your heart health, muscle strength, flexibility, and your joints will thank you!!

This being said, make sure you wear sunscreen and hydrate properly the next time you take advantage of summer months!☀️
