The original photos are ours. The miles were ours. The mud and the madness were definitely ours....

AI can fake the image, but it can’t fake the story behind it.

People always ask for our GPX tracks… so after 8+ years on the road, crossing two continents, getting lost regularly, ignoring perfectly good advice, and following more questionable dirt roads than I can count… I finally put something together.

As you can see, we’re more of an ‘aggressively highlight a paper map and see what happens’ kinda operation. 😅

So here it is - the highly scientific overview of where we’ve wandered since this whole mess started.

Meanwhile the Africa Twin is over there cooking itself into medium rare while I negotiate long-term rental rights with this bush. 😎

If anyone knows of tour companies or groups looking for someone to run support, sweep, or assist with motorcycle tours throughout the western US, I’d love to connect. I’m trying to line up a few gigs and keep myself out of trouble between rallies, events, and industry obligations. 😄

Years of long-distance ADV travel, event experience, logistics, mechanical know-how, and plenty of miles riding throughout the western US, Canada & beyond - along with a background in emergency medical and rescue training as a former EMT-I.

Death Valley is filled with reminders of the people who chased impossible dreams across one of the harshest landscapes in North America.

The old salt tram trestles near Saline Valley once carried borax high across the Inyo Mountains - an engineering feat built in brutal heat, isolation, and unforgiving terrain. Standing beneath what remains of it today, it’s hard not to respect the kind of determination it took to survive out here.

We slipped away to the desert for Chad’s 50th… and Death Valley National Park delivered.

Endless horizons, empty roads, and just enough chaos to keep it interesting - including a “support vehicle” expertly womaned by his daughters (and yes… they absolutely kept us in line).

Not a bad place to mark half a century. 🌵

After fleeing their adopted home in Chile with little more than what they could carry on their Honda Africa Twin, Chad and Rose set out on a journey that would span South, Central, and North America.

What began as an escape… became something much bigger.

Years later, they returned to California - but the story wasn’t finished.

Determined to see it through, Rose climbed onto a motorcycle of herown to complete what they had started… riding north toward the Arctic Ocean.

An ambitious - some might say foolish - 76-day, 13,000 mile journey would take her to the edge of the continent, along Canada’s remote and unforgiving Dempster Highway… to the end of the road at Tuktoyaktuk.

This episode marks the conclusion of that journey.

From the chaos that set it all in motion…

to the moment it finally comes full circle.

Back in California, Chad and Rose reflect on the road behind them, sharing their story at the Horizons Unlimited Travelers Meeting - bringing to a close a chapter that defined their lives for nearly
eight years.

Because sometimes…
when everything falls apart…
it leads you exactly where you were meant to go.
