FRIENDS!
This guy….being hunted on the river road.
It is LEGAL…..I want to take action to protect the herds that live along the ‘daily’ stretch of the river.

Please comment out if you are interested in this endeavor.

My heart is breaking driving to town daily seeing hunters after the herds we know and love.
I have been deep in articles, codes & on the phone with the game warden.

I am not vegetarian, I am in favor of hunting - but I am deeply called to protect these few herds that spark the hearts and give a once in a lifetime feeling for the many to view on this section.

I would like to get numbers of people that float the daily section each year and particularly during September during the hunt. It is legal to shoot ACROSS the river. There are private properties along the river I am also interested in connecting with, along with the businesses.

I am in the wrong state for this fight so please reach out if this calls to you🤎

I took this yesterday at take out beach (protected since it is in the park) Salt wash up to Hittle bottom is not and feels like a realistic goal for conservation. 📷

My 3 yr old had a earache last night, we own a otoscope to see inside the ear, it was red, veiny and angry. He was crying going to sleep, I rubbed this just behind his ears and on his feet - he quickly settled and fell asleep. The redness & red veins are all gone this morning, give thanks to our herbal allies🙌🏼🌿🥹 ….I’m not sure how parents do it without herbs 🤯

New flavor to savor! Been loving this on my lips of late and I’m not even a chapstick person. The sage is well pronounced with a bit of lemon - inspired by a lovely tea we brew. Enjoy!

Not sure why this is so satisfying, maybe because Mullein is a magic toolbox of goodness. Each part of the plant is used in very different ways, with all the smoke all summer the leaves are a perfect remedy for congested lungs with it’s expectorant properties. Give thanks for lady Mullein💚🌿 fresh tinc coming right up!

For mothers day my sweet man made a lot happen in the garden. Mother’s day is our signal that it is safe to plant so each year that is my gift - a BIG garden day, and I LOVE it. My baby took an epic nap and I got to transplant and harvest nettle, my favorite herb, that introduced me to herbal medicine as a teen - thru my mother 💚 (not an herbalist but heard it was good for acne & bought me some tea bags - I can picture the box perfectly still😍) The sparkles in the nettle are not a filter but obviously magical. This plant has aided me thru so much an seems to be my perfect remedy, it has sustained me in countless ways and I still get gitty harvesting it - oddly I also enjoy the sting...urtication is a thing. I could go on and on but this harvest is set for fresh tincture...yummm.

We’ve been busy over here with our new baby & 3 yr old. We’re still squeaking in lots of herb time and one new way this morning was with our powder in our yellow pancakes! A couple Tblspns. in your regular mix is awesome, especially for kids. This is 3 Saturdays in a row of colored cakes. Last week was green (chard blended w the liquid) and pink the week before w beet! (Just grated one in the batter - shout out to Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins and - re-reading it perfectly timed with our beet harvest!) We hope you are all well and making your food your medicine and loving your blessings in your life. Doing the small things day to day, being kind, teaching the littles will make this world a better place. Hugs to you all! 💛💛💛

Well things are poppin’! Unfortunately I do wish it were only the poppies in my home town. With Moab as a tourist based economy it truly is hard to find balance in these times, however the influx of folks in the last week has definitely got us worried about our small community & our even smaller hospital. Please be mindful & compassionate out there, many of us are close to high risk loved ones, have babies or small children & wearing a mask indoors in public is a whole hella of a lot better than being born into the ‘wrong’ color skin. 😢
These times are heart wrenching in so many ways and we are thinking of all of you and doing what we can in our small corner of the world.
Be kind. Be aware. Be Considerate.
I’m tired of hearing Be Safe, the above is far more important and will lead to it.

Medicine from the garden feels so much more special in these days of uncertainty. Feeling more grateful than ever to have medicinals growing like weeds all thru out my garden. With a newborn (almost 2 wks!) Due in spring we decided to not do a big garden this year, but that has quickly changed and here we are with awesome friends tilling up a whole new zone and planting for all of us. But first I had to flag my perennials and dig up my ready roots!
