Have you ever been fat shamed?
So something HORRIBLE happened at our visit to in a couple of weeks ago.

We are Diamond pass owners and enjoy going to all the different Six Flags locations with our family. We have never been as disrespected before as we had been at this location in Arlington TX!

Half into our day we decided to get a family character drawing of our family. We have done several of these and have enjoyed all of them. We found a booth and an employee by the name of Kyle drew our family. When he got to my 15 year old daughter he tells her, “you’re the only one that got the Mexican from your dad huh!?” First of all even though I have nothing against Mexicans, neither my husband or I are Mexican. Well it didn’t stop there. When he was done drawing, before coloring it in, I decided to look at it. It was horrible. Like I said we’ve had these done many times so I know what to expect, and this was bad.

I then asked him “what if we don’t like it?” He looked back at me and said “then you can leave!” “Do you not like it because I made you look old?” And I said yes that was one of the reasons. And then he said “Well I could have given you a double chin, but I was trying to be nice!” Wow! I have never been fat shamed like that before in my life! At that point we were done. We walked away.

About 1-2 mins later we passed back through that area and he had other employees there and we could hear him telling them the story about my “double chin” as they were laughing! How humiliating!

I went up to guest relations to voice my concerns. The supervisor I spoke to wouldn’t even come out and talk to me face to face but made me talk to her through a little opening in the glass. Most of the time she didn’t even look at me and then tried to brush off the experience by saying the character drawings are a 3rd party company. Ridiculous!

Everyone that is able to go to a Six Flags pays good money to be there and they do not expect to be fat shamed and humiliated and then made to feel like their concerns are invalid. Totally unacceptable!

“Do you know the root cause of acne? It's not sugar or diet, or bad skin, or hormones. It's poor gut health. Just search "gut health and acne" and you will find countless articles linking the two.

I have had acne since I was about twelve. When I started getting cystic acne, my mom took me to a doc who put me on an antibiotic for a year. Needless to say, it didn't help and it ruined my gut.

I have had cystic acne off and on for 30+ years and never once did anyone tell me it was related to my gut. I actually figured that out on my own. You see, I have Crohn's disease and could always tell when I was having a flare-up by the state of my face.

One thing I have learned over the years is that acne can be caused by an overgrowth of bacteria and/or yeast in your body. Antibiotics can actually make it worse, as it did in my case. Killing off my gut biome had created an overgrowth of candida yeast.

What I needed was a probiotic that helps control the overgrowth. When I finally found one, it took about six months for me to see changes. My gut has been so bad for so long, that it needed a LOT of work. (Still does, actually.)

But I am happy to say, after two years of being on this probiotic, my face has cleared up. I will occasionally get a small zit or two, but the cystic acne is gone. I haven't had cystic acne in over a year now.

So, what's going on? The probiotic I take has a certain stain that helps control candida yeast overgrowth. It is also freeze-dried, meaning it makes it into my small intestine to actually get absorbed. I had been spending $40+ a month on what I thought was a good probiotic, but it wasn't freeze-dried and so most of the strains were getting destroyed in my stomach before reaching my intestines. Because I had an overgrowth of candida yeast, I wasn't absorbing enough of the probiotics that were able to make it through my stomach.

Acne is a gut issue. I wish I had known this when I was 15. Fixing my gut then would have solved so many problems. Maybe God was letting me experience all the gut health problems so I could help others fix their gut, just like I am finally doing.”
