October 15th is " National I Love Lucy Day"!
Valley View celebrated "National I Love Lucy Day " today with red headed popcorn 🍿 & Ricardo punch. Karen even showed up sporting her "I Love Lucy" scrubs. Us older folks were shocked by how many of the youngsters had never 📺 watched "I Love Lucy", so the challenge was on. The treat was delicious and the memories shared were hilarious!

October is National 🥨Pretzel Month. Staff was challenged with some interesting pretzel trivia. Some fun facts that we learned are: Pretzels without salt are known as "baldies"🦲. In the 16th- Century in Austria, pretzels were used to decorate Christmas trees. Pretzels contain B Vitamins. In some cultures, pretzels were a symbol of good luck and worn as necklaces. The current Guinness World Record for largest pretzel measured 29 feet 3 inches long by 13 feet 3 inches wide and weighed 1,728 #.
Staff was rewarded with a tasty bag of pretzels.

Today staff was challenged with a Minute To Win It game called “Leaf Blower”.The goal is to transfer your leaves from one line to the other in a minute’s time using only your breath through a straw. Staff all agreed that this challenge was tougher than they thought it would be. Thank you to our Valley View staff members, who are always ready for a fun time!
