I’m so excited and grateful to share that I’ve been named a 40 Under 40 Award Recipient by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated – South Eastern Region! This recognition means so much to me and celebrates years of meaningful work in leadership, service, and advocacy. I truly appreciate the mentors, collaborators, and community partners who have cheered me on and helped bring our shared vision to life.

In 2025, Mama Bloom had the privilege of supporting 27 families—22 during in-person births, 2 virtually in other states, and 3 through childbirth-only classes. Additionally, more than 50 families received free baby clothing and essential items.

I remain committed to leading with purpose, creating meaningful impact, and expanding access to vital support for families and communities. I am looking forward to what 2026 has in store.

Today, we celebrate a mama who returned to the birthing space with courage, faith, and a story ready to be rewritten.

After experiencing a previous cesarean, she carried both hope and fear into this pregnancy. With strength, preparation, support, and trust in her body, SHE DID IT! She birthed her baby vaginally after a cesarean — a powerful and beautiful VBAC.

To the mama who experienced her redemption birth:
💜 You turned tears into a testimony.
💜 You transformed fear into power.
💜 Your pain has become your purpose.

A redemption birth doesn’t erase the past, but it rewrites the ending.

✨October is Infant Loss Awareness Month. The Skylar Project is a great resource that offers a comforting and hopeful presence during what may be the darkest moments for parents.

✨This organization provides resources and support to families coping with the heartbreaking loss of a child. It serves as a guiding light through the overwhelming and sensitive journey in extended NICU stays.

✨The Skylar Project was created in memory of a precious baby girl who left too soon, inspiring her mother, Toya Blu, to extend her support, bringing a ray of hope where there is often much uncertainty and sorrow.
